Ravabeerbelly Posted August 29, 2021 Share Posted August 29, 2021 (edited) Only watched on TV but :- Roos - 6.5 A great save to deny Grabben and I don’t see how he was at fault for the goal so a solid performance Byrne - 6 Solid in all areas. Never an eye catcher but made no real errors either. Forsyth - 6.5 Our most under rated player. Solid defensively and if Sibley or Morrison played that pass the list match thread would be 100 pages long talking about it. Davies - 6.5 Rarely gets caught out as he reads the game impeccably. Thought he was in trouble once in a race with Brennan Johnson but his experience just did enough. Jagielka - 6.5 As above apart from one sloppy pass that Lyle Taylor really should’ve capitalised on. Bird - 6.5 Not quite at the levels of previous weeks. His passing % was slightly lower than it has been. But consistent and controlled the tempo for us first half. Shinnie - 6 I thought he was off it today. He’s had some unfair criticism recently when I’ve felt he’s done well but today’s game missed him by a little. Morrison - 6.5 Started brightly but didn’t maintain it. I’d like to see him have more influence in times when we are struggling to get hold of the ball. It’s then that you need him to stamp some authority. I’d also like to see a bit more cutting edge to his game…neat and tidy in his own half isn’t enough. Sibley - 5.5 On the periphery all game for me. Never white got to grips with the occasion maybe? Would’ve been my one to sacrifice for Buchanan. Jozwiak - 7 Probably as well as I’ve seen him play this season. Always a threat and a surprise when he made way. My only criticism is that threat rarely materialises…..end product needs to improve. Lawrence - 7.5 Looked enthused and pump up to the hilt first half. Not sure what goes into those cortisone injections but needed another at half time!!! His link up and movement with Joz, Morrison and Sibley was outstanding. Stretton - 6 Worked hard and gave us an out ball and a physical presence at the top end. Terribly unlucky with his chance that was going in but took a deflection wide. Edit : just noticed I missed the deadline! Sorry. Thought they were Mondays!! Ram-a-lama fa fa fa Posted August 29, 2021 Share Posted August 29, 2021 (edited) love reading people’s view of the game and how players played. so many different opinions which makes football so great to me... anyway my take on it roos - 5 bryne - 6 both cds - 6 foz - 7 both cms 6.5 joz - 7 moz - 6 tom - 9 sib - 6 ie. average performance against sub average opponents. but thought tom lawrence was class. edit: sorry mised deadline to. just got in from a sesh!!
