Bit ouf of the box suggestions... but I'd go with Leo Väisänen, should have excellent value for money. Now at hird choice centre back in Finnish national team. He is way better than for example Halme who is at Barnsley or his big brother who has played Serie A with SPAL. He is certainly available as he is not happy in Jupiler league. For his own good, he needs proper games and Championship should be the level he could excel without taking too big step.

22 years old, doesn't really have weaknesses, scores some goals from set pieces as well. Some player in the making as his development has been rapid! Very comfortable with ball at his feet. Expecting him to take one CB slot from the national teams after the EUROs.

Only thing that talks against this move is the fact the he scores from set pieces. I know it's against the core values of our team.

If you do your homework, you may just be able to pick up a player like Fulham did with Mitrovic, or Sheff United did with Scott Hogan, that bit of extra quality that makes the difference.

Yes; he wants to keep the squad reasonably sized so that youth can break through; this is shrewd given the bigger picture and our previous outcome of a bloated squad with £3 million misfits like Blackman, et alia.

I agree with Cocu's approach. We don't need to sign 3 or 4. But one or 2 certainly to include a replacement for Keogh
