GuiseleyRam
A football club's minutes book dating back to 1888 has been discovered providing a rare and fascinating insight into the lifestyle of Britain's first ever professional players. The historical record was penned at the formation of England's Football League - over a century before it became the Premier League as we know it today. The official Derby County FC document reveals a seismic shift in the way clubs, players and fans of the 'Beautiful Game' have changed over the last 130 years. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-6012717/Derby-County-FC-club-minutes-1888-football-changed.html

Van der MoodHoover
If they're anything like the directors minutes from my company they will be crashingly dull, say little of substance and be full of portentous phrases such as... "Whereupon, such resolution being duly made and carried unanimously it was resolved that.........." I can't imagine they were any less formal back in 1888 - there won't be many "mi duck" in those minutes 'll wager.........?
