Why do people want Vydra out.

He is a brilliant striker.

There are concerns about where he's going to fit into Lampard's system and encouraging style of play, fans aren't convinced we can get the best out of him without it being detrimental to the rest of the team, he would be an expensive luxury to sit on the bench playing 10 minute cameos, and his stock is high right now so it makes sense to cash in and make a profit on him.

There are 243 pages on this. Do you not read other people's posts?

Okay so I'm wide awake when I should be asleep. So I thought I'd make a little graph to bring together the circular debate of the past 239 pages. Feel free to place yourself within categories A, B, C or D. It'd probably save us another 2400 replies...

People talk carp about Vydra.

He is a goal scorer for goodness sake.

Forget systems and formations.

I wish it was that simple. I love Vydra, but it just seems the perfect time to sell in my eyes. Where would you play him in this 4-3-3 Frank has us in? Out wide or as the lone striker?

Prime example of how our fan base is deluded...

Vydra isn't a goalscorer unless he's played in the correct system.

Pearson's era is the perfect showing of this...

He only scored 3 goals in 31 league games for an attacking Reading side, the same side where Nick Blackman looked like a world beater

I’d have home floating around the 3. Lawrence and Wilson and him interchanging.

People told me Lawrence was carp.

I have always thought he was great.

Franks team can be flexible as we have seen.

Not sure who you're gunning at with that comment. Fact is that Vydra can't play in specific systems. 4-3-3 is one of them. He needs a striking partner. He won't get that this season with us. Needs to be sold.

On what basis can you say that? He's proven over his career that he needs a striking partner to be successful -

Watford - Partner with Deeney - 36 Goals in 80 games

West Brom - Sole striker - 3 goals in 23 games

Reading - Sole Striker - 3 goals in 31 games

Derby - Sole striker - 4 goals in a full season

Derby - Partnered up with Nugent/Jerome - 21 goals in a full season.

Point proven.

I too have always rated Lawrence, but I'm not sure what relevance that has to Vydra staying or being sold? ?

I think Nugent and Marriott would perform better in that role you suggested than Vydra. There's no doubt Vydra is the most talented of the 3 players, but he's struggled as a lone striker as we saw under Pearson. It's about getting the team right and what works best rather than shoehorning in the best players. Like Huddlestone, he's quite clearly a better footballer than Ledley, but for Frank's system having Ledley in there improves the team as a whole

Nearly 250 pages gone and his no closer to leaving I think we can take for read that he will NOT move until.

a. We get what we think he is worth transfer fee wise.

and

b. Vyds and his agent don't get what they think he's worth wages and contract wise.

Conclusion/Outcome stalemate.

He's staying end of however wether he plays is a different matter

Nugent is too old IMO

Hate we sell our player of the season every time.

I will get over it.

Happy days

Up the Rams.
