If he was working he would spend his wages on gambling the day he got them. Anyway, one thing led to another. He stole some money got caught then sent to prison. Things really did spiral down hill and he died from taking drugs. By that time I didn't realise how bad things had got. I often look back because I had some really good times with him too.
