Roy Mac, Toddy and Nish played v. Northern Ireland in 1973 when Joe Mercer was manager. Zac's only appearances were as subs in 1973 but against Poland and Italy - what a waste....

Especially when you consider that Chivers and Channon were first choice!!

We have been there done it. The last time of being League champs under Dave Mackay in 1975. There is most of the current Premiership teams who haven't lifted the top division trophy since we last lifted it. The list would be: Manchester United & City, Liverpool & Everton, Arsenal & Chelsea, Blackburn & Leeds, Villa & Leicester and the Red dogs. That's only 11 teams who have done it. All big clubs barring Blackburn (bank rolled it), Leicester (won it when the rest were having an off season) and Forest who had the best Manager going at the time. Note Spurs who haven't won the title since 1961.

That was my implication ! But didn’t want to drone on to much with one of my living in the past threads. ??

Just reality. Even the top tier days of the Jimmy Smith and Arthur Cox era's look totally out of reach.
