loweman2
The pot at the end of the rainbow, the holy grail, the needle in the haystack has been found and acquired with the help of the great @Richard Dastard Lee A genuine Ron Webster No2 1971/72 & 72/3 player issue shirt ! The shirt we won the first division championship in under Clough & Taylor, the shirt that we beat Benfica 3-0 at the BBG. The shirt that evokes so many great memories very pleased is an under statement!
Pearl Ram
That team photograph...no sponsors, collars or logos down the sleeves, don’t half look smart to me. Less is more. Congrats on getting Webster’s shirt, you’re getting an impressive collection together now, good luck to you and hope there’s more to come.

Thanks @Pearl Ram, this was the one I always wanted so I think that I can ease of the collecting pedal a bit now ! That jacket from Alan Durban was special, ive got a lot from the BBG days which to me are the ones I wanted as it will become harder to find, I think that Mrs Loweman2 will be pleased it’s going to ease off ! I just wish that I had a big area to display it all, I’ve got 150 shirts, would love to see all of them on tailors dummies sorrounded by the flag of the top of the Ley stand and the rest of it. i think that shirt just needed an Umbro badge to be perfect. to look at just how basic it is is refreshing as you say, just a Ram to signify that the man inside the shirt played for Derby County ! loweman2
If anybody has got one of these tucked away in a draw or in the loft I would love to know, never even seen one, the original one of course not the toffs retro ones.
Pearl Ram
I notice even during a parade/celebration Clough still had them with their shirts tucked in, presentation was a huge thing for him. What a man.

I’ve got the replica. It’s from around 1990 so still fairly collectable . It’s actually very good quality and in a very similar material to the original (which I had as a kid and wore until it literally fell apart after several years).
