If there is a risk of anything happening again due to safe standing why bother taking it? Seating eliminates that risk & sitting down are the rules im afraid. If you’re stood up infront of someone sitting you’re just selfish and desrve to be ejected from the ground. I get some people are genuine offering to swap seats etc & Most people will behaved but standing does attract a minority of herbers. Stone Island jumpers, burberry hats you know the sorts. Wannabe football hooligans They’ll never allow safe standing in the prem. The likes of arsenal dont want working class fans. They want tourists paying £90 a ticket. They want a different class of fan. Football unfortunately has moved on from ‘the good old days’ and the experiance of going to the ground has changed to a day out & tourist attraction at the top level As for going to away games for people with kids, i just sit in the home end. The opposition in this division rarely sells out at home. You can easily book online & you can sit in comfort around the halfway line with a better view of the pitch in the family end & not near some of the specialists away ends attract You in home end for away games? Oh dear you deserve a lifetime ban for that to be honest.

Both from Chelsea & Leeds fans.

Because i cant take a 5 year old in the away end because they cant see because people are standing in a seated area which is kind of selfish lets all stand in front of a kid not aimed at you in particular but i think there is a lot in here being big girls because someone prefers to sit

Wouldn't have been ticketing issues for a start there is clearly some demand for it, & its safe until somebody has an accident & is it the start of a slippery slope ? Look im not really that bothered about the safety of it or about having sections of standing each to their own. I just prefer sitting down because one im too lazy to stand up for 90mins and couldnt think of anything worse... two i think seating is inclusive to a wider audience, older people, people with kids etc and thirdly (not aimed at you) whilst most people are alright, there are one or two with a massive hardon for standing that post blinkered views on why disabled people that want to sit down are massive fun ruineds so thiught id post a blinkered view the orher way for the sake of an arguments im not really bothered what they do with standing, just wouldnt find me in that area for personal preference ? angieram
That's the whole point of safe standing, that people have a choice. At the moment there is no choice so you get people who want to do different things all mixed in together. I think safe standing will be great even if I might not choose to use it myself. GermanRam
Safe standing is a great thing. And absolutely safe - no incidents here in Germany. Would be a cracking atmosphere in Pride Park..
Ellafella
Does safe-standing emphasise home advantage? https://www.theguardian.com/football/blog/2017/oct/22/football-safe-standing-home-advantage-studies
QuitYourJibbaJivin
Would be great to have a section of safe standing in the south stand in the block next to the away fans and the same in the east stand.
