I've had a few days drinking the Porterhouse out of their fantastic Chocolate Truffle Stout (they only brew it once a year) - on Saturday I had their last pint of it at Bray (Porterhouse Inn) and last night I had the last pint of it at Phibsboro (Porterhouse North).

As I sat at Dublin Airport this afternoon nursing a pint of Guinness, I knew that my work in Ireland this spring was indeed truly worthwhile.

Back home now, I am celebrating my remarkable achievement with a rather splendid La Trappe Quadrupel.
