ariotofmyown
Lots of Clough's signing were great, but wonder how things might have been different if the Sammon fee and wages has been on a proper good first teamer? Maybe worse as Martin might not have established himself? Maybe better as wouldn't have to have been soley reliant on Martin for the system we play? Ideally it would have been a consistent wide man better than everyone we've had since.
PistoldPete2
First team squad of 29 is still too big especially if some of the under 21s are to come through and we also need to bring new players in. Is there still such a thing as a transfer list?
hintonsboots
Who makes the decisions on the retained list ? I would of thought the head coach had the ultimate say. Does this mean DW will be keeping his job or has Mel discussed the list with potential new manager ?

The under 21s will be on the advice of Wassall, always was going to be, whether he is going back to director of the academy or if he is staying as head coach. With the other 2 released would you have kept either of them?

As for Warnock good pro, but if Fozzies rehab and prognosis is good also No.

You have to declare your retained list before midnight tonight or something like that. The fact we don't have a manager will be why so many have been retained, I imagine. maydrakin
All of the others are on the retained list as they are under contract, so it's a fait accompli. Plenty of time to either flog them or "mutually agree cancellation".
CumbrianRam
No real suprises on that list, Santos is being converted into a RB so guess he gets another to track his development
We'll be back in 81
I would think that although they are under contracr players such as grant, baird and shotten will want first team football elsewhere and i assume albentosa wants to stay in spain. The sqaud needs trimming to be able to bring in a couple more.

Got to let him go while he can still fit into an U21 set-up in order to break into the first team, rather than letting him out when he's 22 and has to go straight into a first team. Waiting until he's 22 greatly reduces the quality of sides that will take him. yeah that would make sense. Getting too old for U21 and not good enough for first team basically
