61GT
Serious question. Just been looking on the Derby Telegraph web site for "Latest Sam Rush" assuming there would at least be something there from him concerning last weeks shenanigans but nothing. Last update was October '15 Has he still got a meaningful role at the club?, he recently signed a 5-year deal but is he also onboard with the "Derby way", if not will he soon be gone too? This is my concern, has he still got much influence and is he being listened to? He seems to have taken a back seat position with the media, particularly in recent weeks that is now almost non-existent.
Philmycock
Sam's current role is to liberally apply Wassall's fake tan

trevor1946
This is the man who stood tall, and sacked Cloughi, sold the board,on Director of football,Brought in a completely new scouting system.and over hauled the recruiting side off the club,,Sold Mel the merits of spending big, watched him buy the club.his photo was on all the big signings, and the yanks were gone, never in the history of Derby County has so many been sacked,,in such a short period,His dynasty is typical of a football agent get what you can while you can,the future is in your bank balance. And he has done well. The fact is Derby is still in the championship, and he has been here 3 years,, being a integral part in all major decisions, concerning all aspects of the club, and sadly the playing side of which he has no qualifications in football; management,And here we are with the club in turmoil,SILENCE. He came when the club had been stabilized, and moving forward.his job was easy,to run the commercial side. And use his agent expertise,in transfer dealings to get the best deal for the club,And work with the manager, not remove him and bring this Head Coach nonsense, with him leading, the recruitment panel, Bonus got a 5 year contract, when others get the sack

He came in at a time when the football was as boring as what we are watching now and attendances were dropping at a very rapid rate. Not sure how that translates into the commercial side being easy. trevor1946
Yes we see it differently our away form was good and home form poor, but with 2 home games to come things needed to improve,,If Sammon had scored in a one on one with the forest keeper Rush would have delayed his sacking, The move was political to gain control of recruitment ,We all new Clough would have to deliver a top 6 finish. The squad was a capable squad that any experienced coach.would have success with, But with the goalpost moved in 3 seasons are we at the next level, and this season 25-30 mil on new players. Why is the spine now still bargain basement buys, two years of recruitment wasted ,last summer.25 mil was it good value only if we go up The name change to ipro--850-000 a year after clough left ,how many more little nuggets in finance held back till the change South stand --safe standing, ground capacity to 44000,all in the pipe line, win matches and the crowd will follow This happened with Clough players,Hanson=Hughes-Hendricks-Bennett, academy players,8 players made international debuts How many since,,and we thought a Barker type fee was a Major signing, Yes we see things different.it was hard but i saw a club develop, and the season end will always be a mystery, taken away in mid stream,
Mostyn6
get over it. Clough would never have got 10000 fans back into the stadium, nor Derby into the top 6.
