The 1884 Group

Recommended Posts

Just me who spent the video looking at the soulless plebs at the front whom, with singing and noise all around, looked like the watching a funeral march.

They look like the kind of people who love it when we are losing so they can moan and boo, boring sods, I imagine RMCL or whatever his name is to be like them at iPro

1884 Group = Derby Ultras? Yes?

no!

we are aiming for the volume, passion and visual impact of an ultras group without the hooligan, political and choreographed chanting they have.

A fans group working with other dcfc fans groups and the club to improve atmosphere and facilities at the stadium.

that does include card displays, flags, streamers, banners, etc, etc though!

No thanks if I want to go to Old Trafford, Theatre of Dreams and sit with a load of Manx watching their Manky Manx, then I might be tempted to sing one of their songs but I'd rather be watching Derby County and singing our own songs.

Tom Ince?

Billy Bragg - Sulk

We could make England's 82 World Cup song This Time our own, nobody sings that. I've shortened it.

"We're on our way,

"We are Paul's Derby Co,

"Hear the roar,

"Winning Rams, 75 and 72,

"This time, more than any other time, this time,

"We're going to find a way,

"Find a way to get away,

"This time, getting it all together, to win them all,

"It makes you wonder,

"It makes you proud,

"To play for Derby,

"And hear the crowd,

"It makes you wonder,

"It makes you proud,

"To play for Derby,

"And hear the crowd,

We could have a song to remember the BBG?

"Father wears his Sunday best,

"Mother's tired she needs a rest,

"The kids are playing up, downstairs,

"Sisters sighing in her sleep,

"Brother's got a date to keep,

"He can't hang around,

"BBG, in the middle of our street,

"BBG, in the middle of our,

"BBG, in the middle of our street,

"BBG, in the middle of our................

Chant to Kings of Leon - Sex on Fire tune.....

Play how were playing, don't make a sound
I know they're watching, they're watching
All the commotion, our players still play
Has people talking, talking

Youuuuuuu, our Derby's on fire

The bark of our rally, were breaking away
Ahead with our scoring, our scoring
Flood gates are open, there fans are pale
Seems like you're dying, you're dying
Youuuuuuu, our Derby's on fire
Consummmmmmmed with our desire

Hot as our Martin (goal scorers name), rattling in goals
He could just taste it, taste it
If it's not forever, it's just for our plight
Oh, were the greatest, the greatest, the greatest

Youuuuuuu, our Derby's on fire
And youuuuuuuuuuu, our Derby's on fire
Consummmmmmmed with our desire

And repeattttt

sorry I forgot your name, you started it saying you hate noise at home games! chin up classy fella ;-)

I don't think I said I hate noise, just that I prefer to concentrate on the game. You seen some people that are most interesting in shouting at the opposing fans than watching the game.

If you're noooot in the know, if you're not in the know, you're a ****

If you're noooot in the know, if you're not in the know, you're a ****

If you're noooot in the know, if you're not in the know, you're a ****

To the tune of if you don't f'in bounce you're a Red.

About time a lyrical genius came to the thread, some of you lot are writing full on songs and forgetting football chants are short and catchy like mine above.

I think Daveo may have a point, we should probably start off small!

Although if anyone can put words to this tune, I'm all up for it. If you've got time, watch the whole video and bear in mind this is at a basketball game!!

But Derby rule the Midlands like they've always done before
