RLACML
Still statistically the best LB in the league though... http://www.whoscored.com/Regions/252/Tournaments/7/Seasons/4312/Stages/9156/PlayerStatistics/England-Championship-2014-2015 #justsaying JustScored is the biggest load of ******. Completely irrelevant. Have a look at where it ranks Will Hughes in our team.

Their ratings do tend to favour centre-halves but don't really do much justice to controlling midfielders.

Their ratings do tend to favour centre-halves but don't really do much justice to controlling midfielders. Their ratings are based on the stats from the game though... Rather than most places which just stick a rating based on an opinion... Yeh, you're gonna miss things like a guy who does nothing all game and then gets a goal at the end (low overall stats rating) but then Hughes is the kind of player who SHOULD score highly on these things... He's a guy who's pass completion and key involvements in the game should do him benefit stats wise... And I'd actually argue that whilst Hughes is our best player (IMO) he's been largely quiet this season... He's had 5 or six amazing games but a lot of games where he's been largely anonymous... http://www.whoscored.com/Explanations
Gypsy Ram
I liked then unliked batman. Hughes is just so more valuable than the killer assist, or the goal. The space he creates , movement, fluidity... He's a very smart footballer and let's the team link up well. If fit he has to play every minute. RLACML
I'm sorry that you have a #dawkins complex. You will eventually get over it. Dawkins being another that is woefully underrated doesn't have anything to do with it. His wasn't the example I used. Plenty more examples too
Ambitious
He has a bit of a point though. Their ratings do tend to favour centre-halves but don't really do much justice to controlling midfielders. Depends on how much you're in the game. It doesn't lie and the stats tell the story, but I agree the 'rating' of how it's weighted could be altered. George Thorne had a ridiculously high rating last season, but he was on everything. Most passes, accuracy, chances created...etc the real deal.

Joel
I've posted this in the Podcast section as well but given that this appears to be the Shaun Barker thread I thought I'd pop it in here as well. I spoke to Shaun this evening about his injury and his rehab. Hopefully this gives a decent insight into the struggles he's faced over the past few years. http://derbycounty.podbean.com/e/shaun-barker-interview/?token=8f8cc88b5827180a5a9f7017531e7d54

Alph
I could get a 100% pass completion rating by passing back to Grant everytime I get the ball Johnny Russell could run 35 yards, beat 4 defenders, round the keeper, pass to me, it bounces off my shin and Chris Martin knocks it in. I get more points for the assist than Russell would get. It doesn't take into account any situation.
Alph
The other misleading stat is shots on target. People always say "they didn't even have a shot on target". What's closer, a player going through 1v1 and missing the target by an inch or a player shooting from 35 yards a tame effort that has all the chance of going in as a backpass? Which would you rather have against us? Yet the long range effort gets more points on whoscored etc
