Right - 14 games and 19 points - need 56 for highest ever 6th place total.

32 games need W16 D9 and L 7 - easily doable IMO

Easily doable?

We don't have Jose Mourinho in charge nor is our squad even that good..

I feel we're badly let down by a rubbish defence, so that if we're to win games we need to be far more clinical than we have been.. Like the Watford game..

I feel we'll do well to win more than we lose with this team.. McClaren isn't a miracle worker, top 6 is out of our reach IMO

That would pit us on 36 points with 23 games played. Play off form that is

That was to equal the highest 6th place total. Ill day it will be 69 to 72 points to get the last play off spot.

50-53 points needed

W14 D8 L 10 To W15 D8 L9

With our fixtures up to Christmas I think it is likely we will be on course for play-offs and if we strengthen will have a good chance.

Middlesbrough (h)
Blackpool (h)
Charlton (a)
Doncaster (h)
Huddersfield (a)
Barnsley (a)

From those 9 games I'd be amazed if we win more than 4, lose more than 4, or draw more than 4..

It will be something like W3 D3 L3

What's that? 13pts from 9 games. I've tried to be pretty miserable about it.

We won't get less than 13pts? No way!

Looks uncannily like where we are now.

4 points off 6th, 8 points off 4th and 14 points of top. Spooky or what?

Interesting as well to see 5 of the top 6 at Christmas stayed in the top 6 until the end of the season, with the top two at Christmas the top two on the last day as well. Looks like Christmas should be when we know more about where we'll end up.

nfb, could you put up the table for exactly the same stage 14 games gone?  I wonder how much the shape changes even from this point on.
