Hasn't Harry said how great he has been while working for QPR? Wasn't Joey Barton interviewed on SSN and said that he hopes he doesn't leave working for QPR although he believes the Derby job would be great for him? So why don't you class Steve McClaren as being in work? Derby are looking for a head coach, he has a huge reputation as coach. Who would you prefer and why? Duracell Posted September 30, 2013 Share Posted September 30, 2013 Just seen the SSN feature on us. It's left me a bit confused about what to feel with this appointment. He cocked it up at Forest, though who knows if he would have turned the corner. He definitely cocked it up for England. It didn't go well at Wolfsburg or Twente second time round. However, he's the only manager to win major silverware with Middlesbrough. He played a part in the United side which took the treble. His title success with Twente was an outstanding achievement that any coach or manager in the world would be proud to have on their CV. On top of that, you've got Joey Barton hoping he stays and saying how he thinks he's the perfect man for the job. Clough's left behind a nice set up, but we've got a few issues still. Almost all of them are footballing ones, IMO. Surely the man regarded as one of the best coaches in the country won't be an abject failure?
