From cider space.co.uk:

Yeovil Town are being strongly linked with a loan move for Everton centre-back Shane Duffy. Whilst the national press are linking the 21 year old with a move to either Derby County or Millwall, information from the Everton end suggests that Duffy is Yeovil-bound for a 93 day period.

With Byron Webster suspended, Liam Fontaine out with a hamstring strain, and Alan Tate having returned to Swansea City with a more serious hamstring problem, the Glovers are rather short of centre-backs, with Luke Ayling having to move from his usual right-back slot into a central position for the final 50 minutes of last Saturday's home game against Queens Park Rangers. Only the inexperienced option of Joe Jones remains as an option for manager Gary Johnson.

Duffy was born in Derry, Northern Ireland on January 1s 1992, and has unusually represented both Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland at international level - switching across to the Republic in recent years to gain caps at Under-19 and Under-21 level. He signed for Everton in Nvember 2008, having played youth matches for Foyle Harps in Derry. He worked his way through Everton's Under-18 and Reserve teams to make a total of 10 appearances for Everton's first team, including five at Premier League level.

Shane has also had loan experience with Burnley during the 2010-11 season where he made one appearance, and a more fruitful period with Ssausagehorpe United in 2011-12 where he made 24 appearances, scoring one goal. He stands at 6'4" tall and so would be an imposing figure at the back for the Glovers.

At present, this move has not been confirmed by either club. However, a poster on an Everton forum, understood to be a member of Duffy's family, has told Toffees fans that Duffy is Huish Park bound, which would fit in with the club's need for a new centre-back for this weekend's trip to Bolton Wanderers.
