Fozzy and davies both will trust me
I presume they are both still negotiating their wage?

If these are all signed we certainly will have plenty of fires power up front !
We just need to then sign/resign some more defenders especially full backs now.

The lack of full backs is concerning. Surley we need a couple soon to make sure they can hit the start of the season running.

Are we any closer do we know to Curtis signing a new deal?
-
I see we are linked with McGoldrick and Collins. I think we will only get one, if so which one would we pick?

Might be Sibley. I’ve heard he has played there a lot even thought no one has seen such thing happen.
I don't like the sound of that one !

We may end up with lots of CBs but no full backs if Byrne wants to leave and Buchanan already going.
-
Who will play left back if Buchanan has gone and Fozzy yet to sign a deal.

I just read on twitter appentley that derby agreed 2 years of new contract.
Is it a reliable source B4?

He played every single game last season and was by all accounts excellent - arguably one of the best performers in the Championship in his position. He's getting older, sure, but he's had his best season in 4/5 years.
No idea what business plan we're working towards, but Davies outperformed Chester considerably last season. We also know what a character he is too, which is huge considering we're in a rebuild. He is a character setting player who ensures that others are following.
He would be an absolute huge loss going into next season. We need competition for him, of course, but it's imperative for me we keep him.
I agree, we need to do all we can to keep him. I just hope that he isn't asking for a silly wage which will break any form of wage structure are trying to put in place.

I seem to remember him signing last Summer and basically saying it's only cause it's Derby County that he would play for the £4.5k a week salary
I can too. I presume he wants more than this now?

Do we have any young and upcoming left backs? seeming as we don't have any senior left backs on the books atm

Some other clubs can offer better contractual terms than us, but not all from what’s being reported in the press.
Other factors could come into play also, the project on offer might appeal to certain players, guaranteed first team football, facilities, crowd etc. I know the cynical view to take is players will go wherever they can be paid the most but it’s definitely not as straightforward as that. Could something like location come into play for Hourihane, has he got family based into he midlands from his time at Villa?
Guess we just have to wait and see over the next few days.Very true. I think location definitely comes into the equation when players have families and routes in an area ect

Surley we need Fozzy to sign a new deal now we have no senior left backs

Selling or buying?
Buying would be the one!

Let's hope we can help DC out by selling lots of tickets next season.

Not sure what to think to this, sounds like there is a stumbling block. No doubt it will probably come down to wages.
-
Sounds like a potentially good deal for everyone in involved. It will always be good to have two keepers fighting it out to be the number one.

I have a feeling Curtis Davies could be holding out for Rosenior to be made permanent.
Curtis being the man he is, I could imagine him saying show the manager some loyalty before I commit.
You maybe right there, I just think him signing a new deal will be statement and moral boost for everyone.

That's two blokes in there mid thirties- one who's basically been injured constantly bar a couple of months for a year and a young lad who is also constantly injured. I'd take McGoldrick but we need two strikers of a decent fitness and one needs to be able to score some goals fairly regular and not just link up which is his game. Wage wise this really needs to a priority as it's likely to be the most expensive bit of any rebuild. Can see CKR being sacrificed to free wages to be honest. We need some pace up top and have done for 3 years.
Hopefully McGoldrick won't demand massive wages but he wants to come for the challenge and be part of something and not just a pay check. The fact he lives fairly local also has to be a bonus.

I like the idea of McGoldrick due to his experience, proven quality and knowing how to find the back of the net.
McGoldrick, CZR and Stretton would certianly give us options and squad depth. This will be important as the season goes on and to give us fire power off the bench. Neither McGoldrick and CZR will be able to play every game due to their age and having options will help keep them fresh.
My only slight concern is will Stretton get the minutes needed to develop?

What sort of fee/compensation did we get in the end? I did see the 400k figure flying around.

Wildsmith, Byrne, Cashin Bardell, Buchanan, Bielik, Bird, Knight, Sibley, LThompson, Barkhuizen, Mendez-Laing, Stretton, Cybulski
Hopefully Davies, Fozzy, Stearman and CKR will soon be added to this list.
I am just looking at where the "biggest holes" in our sqaud is at the moment.

So let's have a round up of our confirmed players in contract for next season. We may even be able to field 11 men after today ?
Craig Forsyth - Signed one year contract

The thing with Fozzy is he could play as a left wing back or left sided centre back in that system. Brings experience, doesn't have a big ego and will help knit the team together.
