  3. Iā€™m still winding the missus up saying our next puppy will be called Nidge. She actually got out of bed in a huff this morning about it šŸ˜‚
  4. I think we are going to compromise and call him Dexter... she has no idea where that inspiration came from šŸ˜„
  5. caught me off guard here and I just spat my tea out of the laptop screen šŸ˜„
  6. Talking about getting a puppy, and I've suggested calling it Nidge after the Love/ Hate character. The missus' bottom lip has grown and she no longer wants a puppy šŸ˜‚
  7. I really hope he's guilty. I'd hate for this to be some sort of example being dished out to a Egotistical Superstar! However is it too lenient. I know of someone who got two years for celebrating a Big Win on the horses by running along the bar slapping everyone's bum! Now a registered sex-offender who spent 2 years at her majesty's pleasure. If he's guilty, glad he's not got away with it. I'm still confused by the Mendy and Greenwood situations.
  8. I've always found it weird that people can hate or dislike someone they disagree with on the internet. I blame the government for running down the Pub industry. Back in t'day, these conversations would happen over a table and a beer but everyone was still mates about it. I've had hours of football disagreements with all my mates, especially Liverpool fans! But there's no hatred. People need to grow a backbone and stop being so fecking precious about being "shotdown"... so what if someone thinks you're wrong!! Ed Dawes is marmite for me. In general, he's a pretty good commentator, and anyone who thinks he isn't, should travel around the country and listen to what some clubs have to put up with. Dawes is very high up on the standard of local radio commentary I can assure you. He has been guilty of going rogue in commentary a few times, some attempts at "banter" fell flat, albeit the intention was good.
  9. based on recommendations in this thread, me and the GF have watched Love/Hate over the last month or so. Thoroughly enjoyed it, some great characters. Sadly some written out in first 2 seasons. Underlying feeling is that the writers had to wrap it all up in the last episode or two and it felt a little rushed and the show deserved better. Still a cracker though
  10. sadly, a colleague of my girlfriend had been struggling with mental health for a while, people were aware of his struggles, yet someone saw fit to complain about his standard of work, and reported/complained, eventually, he reached a cruel and devastating state of mind and decided to end it all. Some of my GF's friends are absolutely heartbroken having worked more closely with him (than my GF). We were in Prague over the weekend, and we had a few natural beers and it suddenly hit her quite hard, and she was totally bewildered and struggling to understand why this lovely fella had decided to take his own life. In answer to some of her questions, I made reference to my own struggles, which I try to play down as low mood nowadays, but back when I started this thread, I was really struggling to find a reason to be alive. This shocked her a lot and I was mentioning some of the stories and explanations in this thread, and ultimately how it helped me. I'm in a good place now, as I said a few weeks back, and I also know how to spot my decline and what to do to halt and reverse it. Basically, I jump on a treadmill 3 times a week for a month and I'm automatically on top of the world. I'm a rubbish runner, and it hurts, but sense of achievement is immense. I remember wanting to get to 1km non-stop, then 10mins, then 2km, then 2.5km nonstop, then all the way up to 5km nonstop, and then it was doing 5km in under 30mins, and eventually did it in 26mins, which for me was amazing having been medically advised to never run. Anyway, what I am saying is, awareness is the first step to recovery, then needing to find your little cure is vital.
  11. Off to Prague tomorrow for a long weekend with the GF. Not been for a few years, really looking forward to dragging her around, with her moaning that her feet hurt!
  12. Only really Malia is the party resort. Stalis is really quiet, for couples and families. Hersonnissos appears to be a bit more cosmopolitan nowadays, with lots of Dutch, German and eastern European holiday makers. but that said, is still very orderly and civilised, with people sitting down in bars etc. I will be visiting Stalis twice in 2024, once with some 40-50 year old mates to watch the first week of the Euros, and back in September with the missus. What I would say is that many places don't start their spruce and decorating until May, for June opening.
  13. my boy did a poo right next to a big pile of horse poo. Felt a right div picking it up whilst leaving the horse poo there. In fairness, my poo bags for Ralph are about A5 size, I would need a bin liner!
  14. I did enjoy it. Read my post again.
  15. based on several posts in here, I finally got around to watching KIN on BBC iPlayer. Whilst it's my kind of programme, has a cracking cast, and I did enjoy it, I cannot help but think they missed something. I cannot quite put my finger on it. Maybe they kept it too insular/isolated and needed to expand it more to make it at least feel more authentic and realistic. Posters compared it to Gomorrah, but Gomorrah was believable, you felt like that was actually happening on some rough estates a few miles away, and we need to stay away from there! Whereas I felt in Kin, it was such a small world, that it didn't feel that they could be believably successful criminal organisations. I feel they kept the production costs limited which in turn forced you to make assumptions about things, and then to bring an influential characters in that you've never heard mentioned, with no back story, seemed a bit disjointed. I will watch S2 I reckon, but it's gone nowhere near my top 10, maybe not even my top 20. Colin Kazim-Richards/10
  16. I'm torn on this. I'm outraged at them charging a fee, but I use the shopping side of Prime for so much. With regard to the Prime Video, over the years, I think they've had some corking programmes. All the Bosch, Man in the High Castle, Jack Ryan, Sneaky Pete, Mr Robot, The Boys, Hand of God to name but a few are brilliant. I want to bin it off, on principle, but having just discussed it, the savings I make on Prime Deliveries kind of mean I cannot.

    Wayne Rooney

    19th is not mid-table. šŸ˜„

    Wayne Rooney

personally, I don't think that this spell at Birmingham proves Rooney isn't capable of being a decent manager. I do think however that he needs to find a better fit next time he gets a chance, assuming he will. Birmingham had a squad of pragmatic grafters and very little skill. It amuses me to see the same posters who made numerous excuses for Nigel Clough's struggles are finding it so easy to dismiss Rooney's credentials. I don't believe Rooney has managed so spend a penny on players in English football. It may transpire he's useless, but we've seen managers do equally as bad early in their careers then go on to better things.
  19. the most serious element to this is whether David will be raising them as Rams. Joking aside, all the best Daveo. Very big thing you are doing here. Never underestimate how much influence an upbringing has on people when they're adults.
