  1. always plan to do the next one, but never do
  2. his dislike of Burnley always amused me. I sometimes craftily mentioned them in a post just to trigger him 😄
  3. if I click this link, will Jasper Carrot appear? 😄
  4. please keep the thread on Palestine/Israel/Hamas/Gaza topic to avoid being locked. Although any Cameron bashing is always amusing .
  5. Been trying to get my head around B4 not being around on here. I've read all these comments and felt little tinges of guilt cos I quite often used to shoot B4 down for some of the things he posted. We did have a few private chats though and I was just looking to see if I kept them, as I often have to clear out my Inbox here, and found a little chat where he was struggling in lockdown and missing supporting Derby at Pride Park and away. I think this sums him up quite well. Heart on Sleeve & Loves the Mighty Derby County
  6. <insert club name> are looking to buy Derby County youngster <insert player name> and are preparing a £500k bid. B4 "I'd tell them £20m or get lost" 😄 Brilliant. Bitter Sweet Grin on my face right now.
  7. Bless him, we used to wind him up about that pink shirt x
  8. Wow, how heartbreakingly sad. Sometimes the world feels so cruel and this is one of those times. I, like most on here were fond of him and could understand all of his posts. He gave this forum some brilliantly funny moments and in jokes that must've looked bizarre to any new visitor to the site. Did have the pleasure of introducing myself to him a couple of years back, but not sure he knew who I was. I always smile warmly when I think of his strong dislike of Burnley FC a couple of years ago and smirked to myself yesterday wondering if B4 was enjoying their struggle. Then I've read this and it's winded me.
  9. "Hate filled"? Wow. You're exactly the result the mainstream media want! Pity.
  10. I'm not sure you need to have in depth knowledge of anything you deem unfair, immoral or evil to be allowed to say is should stop. I know nothing about testing on animals, but I'd like it to stop. I know nothing about FGM but would like it to stop. I don't know the finer details of many things, but I'd like them to stop. That journalist asking those protesters for knowledge and them offering little doesn't invalidate their feelings that what's happening is wrong.
  11. There is no "Palestinian side", why aren't you grasping this simple fact? Hamas however are part of the plot so they're not going to dispute anything.
  12. That's you assuming/ believing those figures.

  14. You can believe what you like, but the technology available to Israel is superior to almost all around the world. If you think that they can know where all the Hamas commanders are hiding, yet didn't see this attack coming, and didn't react for hours, and didn't have anyone stationed on those fences (which they man excessively to shoot at kids throwing stones), then I question your mind. Once you realise that doesn't stand to logic, you will then start asking the relevant questions. Hamas actually serve a purpose for Israel more than they they serve the people of Palestine.
  15. He actually has spoken. It's part of the story about trying cancel the Palestine peaceful protest. He's one saying that the ex-soldiers and the football fans will be involved to prove Britain isn't broken. I'm paraphrasing as it was about 5 hours ago I read it.
  16. Tommy Robinson has spoken.
  17. your points are well made and you're clearly a humanist above all else! Don't worry that someone doesn't get you.
  18. cannot recall ever reading a less balanced and biased article!
  19. if you think that Israel know exactly where Hamas commanders are hiding, yet didn't know an attack was coming, you're very very naive and gullible. This has all the hallmarks of an inside job, a set up, a trigger-point, collateral damage to instigate and justify a long-planned and desired cleansing of Palestine and it's innocent people. Alpha (and others) have been keen to point out the Hamas is NOT Palestine, and it is not representative of the wishes of the Palestinian people. Who gives the orders to Hamas? I know it's a crude reference, but as we are on a football forum, it may be understandable, when that Derby "fan" send Billy Sharp abuse about his dead child, was he representing all of us Derby fans? Should we all have faced the same response as he did? Well, whilst in no way comparable in terms of seriousness, the grouping of Palestinians and treating them as Hamas is very unfair.
  20. Welcome to the thread. I've not managed to start one of these for a couple of years, but now is the time for many to start planning. Here's what I've pencilled in February - Prague - Long weekend with the missus April - Barcelona - Long weekend with the missus June - Stalis, Crete - Week Away with the boys to enjoy the Euros September - Stalis, Crete, Fortnight with the missus to get some sun for her birthday October - Algarve, Portugal, extended break with missus and another couple. Maybe take golf clubs and get a round or two in.
  21. does anyone think that all Israel's approach will do is generate more hatred in the Palestinian people towards them, and feed into decades more "tit for tat" back and forth revenge?
  22. looking whats happening on the south coast of England today too, it's worrying, however it's not a new thing, just rare. I'd normally joke about some evil villain controlling the weather machine, but I think we are in for a few more challenging weather days in UK in the next few weeks.
  23. do you have evidence to the contrary? I've had similar at PP
