Anyway, Erik, treat our mum well, she's high maintenance & her kids are very demanding !!

I hope Erik and Wayne don’t compete for our mum’s attention

Definitely needs to learn how to pronounce Derby. Odd that he speaks English as much like an Indonesian as a Spaniard. Shades of Joey Barton. Hopefully he’ll be saying ay up me duck in no time

  3. Really hard to know what will happen here. How much Indonesian money does he have behind him? Can he bring new sponsorship? Will he get on with Rooney?  I guess we’ll know a lot more in the summer.

Financially, it makes complete sense not to buy the stadium. 1 off payment of £80m to buy vs £1.1m per season to rent.

    ???

if the stadium lease is a "good deal" for the club - and if the terms were not amended pre-sale  - then the favourable lease terms mean you pay more for the club shares. It's one enterprise. In any case, probably all driven by MM's tax position

Anyway my point was not about value, the point is: the owner doesn't need the freehold because the lease can give control which is what matters. And no sane owner will buy the club without control of the stadium       Makes no difference who owns the freehold, of course, so long as the lease terms are ok. Likewise it makes no difference to the fans whether the stadium is controlled by the owner or by the club.

I wish people would stop wittering on about this. I don't think much flows from MM's stadium sale, except the minor issue of the EFL proceedings

    We have lost the stadium

we have lost the stadium?  Please explain what you mean    If our new owner is willing to buy the football club without getting control of the stadium then things are not looking good

Quite. I rue the day that the great unwashed discovered companies house. Here's a hint to all, you can basically tell the best part of f all from the info on there, that's a freebie?

Well the accounts can be useful. If they are filed that is

I have a feeling that Jozwiak won't be here next season. I reckon he'll be on the blower to his agent after a move to a less mental club with better prospects. If someone comes up with the cash and Mel is still in charge he's gone.

Not clear whether players are signed by our beloved club or singed by it

But (and a very important but), that still proves we complied with P&S limits and cannot be punished for that.

It's a fine at most for being misled, IMO.

Suspect you’re right and hope so. And if they impose more than a fine no doubt we appeal so it rumbles on and on making a sale more difficult  ?

Bloke sounded like he didnt have a clue about our situation. Says we could get a point deduction and cant see how we wont be punished yet no mention that we were cleared originally, that the EFL have signed off the policy for a number of years already and the amortization fits within the accountancy rules & regs.

Yes, he’s right when he says it’s complicated but I think he’s missed the point. Main problem for us is: we did not highlight the change in Amortn policy in the notes to the accounts. In breach of the accounting standards.  A cynical EFL, or one adverse to our interests, will say: you changed your policy then tried to slide it by us by not sufficiently explaining it in the notes to the accounts. So we think you tried to mislead us and that warrants serious sanction. Hard argument for the EFl to make given the previous judgement. But the fact they have appealed shows they are full of righteous indignation

My bad. Hopefully the EFL will see sense but given their track record, I’m not holding my breath

Would be just Mel’s luck for it to be relaxed just after he sells !

My guess is we will hear next week.  2-3 days for the case. 2-3 days for the panel to consider the evidence and come to a judgement.

and three weeks for them to write it up

Sibley celebrates the winner in front of an Arsenal defender, goading him

Never thought this sort of nastiness is good for anyone in the long run. Didn’t even admire it in CKR after his goal against Forest. Smacks of Australian cricketers or Leeds in the 70s. Don’t want to see it from a Derby player. Sorry

It just shows the beauty of the game, you couldn't have two more different styles yet they are again in pole position on the final day. It's like that clip of DeChambeau driving the lake last week. What people forgot was that Lee went the long way round and they both ended up with birdie.

Did you see the Korean who took an 11 at the 17th on day one? His reaction when he got it on the green on day two was priceless.

DeChambeau is making as many tweaks to his golf swing as Rooney makes to his team sheet with the same dismal consequences

Yeah, he is one of those that you can't help but appreciate for taking a completely different angle (often literally) to playing the game. Another one for Lee to add to his ever growing list of 'if I'd holed two more putts'.

Same line up tomorrow! Westwood misreading some puts. Was thinking it might not help that his girlfriend is on his bag

Just wish some local rich business people who support Derby could get a consortium together and take over, even allowing Mel to stay onboard to look after the training centre and the acadamy. Come on Kirkland, Bloor, Sissons, how about it?

If we are in crisis (relegation or points deduction) that’s exactly what we would want, to steady the boat. But I don’t think either will happen so I think we want a billionaire not a bunch of mere multimillionaires. And a billionaire who will bring additional revenue
