The real issue is the summer signings were generally poor. If we’d signed the right strikers in the summer (young, injury free) we wouldn’t be desperate for a striker now. I don’t believe there was not any up and coming and affordable strikers in the lower divisions for us to have gone for. The Rams scouting system has been a problem for years.
I'm generally Warne In, but I can't understand the want to get strikers falling from the champ, usually old, vs taking some punts on lower league options.
I'm a bit of a Malcolm Christie kinda guy vs a Lee Gregory.

It's way back that'll be fun - the Thameslink could be overwhelmed!

Gonna be fun with all the train strikes at Charlton!

I'd keep Fornah and work on him. Seen enough to say there could be a player in there.
Feels like the Morris era to hire then fire, without giving players a chance to bed in.

Warne nailed it with the subs leading to the win. Warne in.

Fair play to Cheltenham. Bringing their A game and going for it.

May as well throw some of the academy on in midfield. Not possible for them to be worse than our two seniors.

If anyone is going to score today it's Sibbo.

Come on Derby! The midfield has properly ran out gas. Surely Fornah can't be that bad as to add a bit of crunch.

Hey all, what's the best away pub in Reading?

If anyone sadly can't make the match on Saturday at Lincoln, I would love to buy two away tickets! Thanks.

The squad we have now is capable of it, if used correctly. What happened 18 months ago doesn't magically change that.
There's more to it than just having a bunch of good players. Cohesion takes time, players knowing each other and their roles, the team being in a psychologically good place. All of is this hard to achieve following admin and getting a new management team in.

Still amazed after the club nearly disappearing by a pube hair, people think we should go up in 1-2 seasons after, and it's "rubbish" if we don't. The whole club is recovering from a near death situation..

I've increasingly noticed (and Thursday was certainly the case) that our play becomes far more fluid and intuitive after we score - almost as if the players don't quite believe they're capable of playing that way or they are being cautious in order to avoid messing up. Am I imagining this or is it something that others have noticed?
Yes, they seem to be playing with a great deal of pressure on.

Great to see Warne bringing Bradley on to defend a 0-0 lead...tactical genius.
It's a good sub. Bring on Bradley to gee on the team, up the tempo. Fozzy was playing pants.

Ward playing a bit better.

Unchanged.

Collins has scored more important goals than Mcgoldrick. Mcg scored hat tricks against easy teams.. reckon could take out some those goals from his tally?
