  1. Obviously the worst case scenario is we lose every game but don’t think that’s going to happen, so realistic worst case is we take 10 points from remaining 6 games, draw and defeat next weekend, defeat to the Wycombe scumbags (god I would love some pay back there), then win the last 3. That gives us 88 which with our GD means 89 will be needed. This means Bolton need 15 from their last 7 (which includes Stevenage A Pompey H Posh A) and Posh need 18 from their last 8 (which includes Orient A Oxford A Bolton H), all teams are also playing teams in heat of relegation battle which will make it difficult. I personally think anything over 89 points will start to make things difficult for others especially if we maintain our GD advantage. Its going to go to the last game whereas if we’d won yesterday think we’d have had the chance to seal the deal early!! We’ll know a lot more next weekend but still nothing will be decided. Lots more twists and turns ahead.
  2. What about the huge gigantic positive we’re a net 2nd whatever happens with games in hand with 6 games left!!! That’s an excellent position to be in, let’s face it had we won today some fans would literally be popping the champagne corks thinking it’s done. Today is hugely frustrating but nothing more given the position we were in before the game, it’s in our hands. Injuries are a blow and hope NML isn’t too bad but positives, CBT looked good, Collo is soon to be back, and injury/suspension means he probably has to play a back 4 now for the final few games.
  3. Here we go, the world has caved in for some after today’s defeat, just as it did after back to back defeats and awful performances to Barnsley and Charlton just a few weeks ago. How did we respond? By winning 4 in a row, including our 3 best performances of the season back to back before Bolton. We’re still in a fantastic position, it’s in our hands with 6 games to go and we have enough winnable games to get over the line. We were never going to win all these games points were always going to be dropped and will be dropped by other teams. Frustrating as it’s an opportunity missed just like Barnsley and Charlton were but that would’ve been a ridiculous run of wins at this stage in the season. That said other than 15 minutes in the first half before they scored when we couldve scored 3 we were poor today, one of those days where you need to take your chances and hopefully sneak a win. We barely conceded a chance and the ref played a huge part in their goal so while we didn’t play well I certainly don’t think we deserved to lose. Massive weekend ahead as it was always going to be. 4 points would be good and set us up well for the final 4 games. Think todays result means we need to beat Wycombe away now which will be tricky but it’s ours to lose. Hope we can get enough forward players fit to get us over the line, although thought CBT was a bright spark today and this could be his time. We need him. COYR!! 🐏🐏🐏🐏
  4. We were good for the 15 mins just before they scored, all our chances came in that period and Hourihane was orchestrating most of it, they get the goal from nothing with a huge helping hand from the ref, since then they’ve turned it into a scrap. When we move the ball quickly we look good need to get back to that period from 10-25 when we carved them open.
  5. Not sure how we’re losing. 3 guilt edged chances, Bradley should’ve done better good finish by Hoskins who is a class act at this level, but the ref had a huge part in that goal should’ve been a free kick for foul on wilson when we were on the attack. Ebou Adams has been a liability so far today, missed a sitter really careless on the ball a few times in dangerous areas putting us under pressure. Need to get back to how we were the 10 minutes leading up to their goal.
  6. Apart from the clubs with parachute payments - well surprise surprise!!! This is precisely why we need the regulator to put these greedy self interested premier league/parachute payment clubs back in their box and stop them creating a closed shop for 23 clubs at the top of the pyramid which is what’s happening. The English Super League!!
  7. Missed that one and makes a lot more sense!!! Glad he pulled them off then!! 🍺
  8. Well I really enjoyed yesterday. Haven’t seen pride park like that in years. What an atmosphere!! Even the west stand were noisy 😉. Loved how Warne laid down the gauntlet to the fans post match saying just like the players the fans can’t drop their standards now after that!! The performance wasn’t vintage and we’ve played much better recently, but credit must go to Bolton who look a decent outfit. I don’t think they battered us, think the first half was pretty even although overall they edged it, second half we were second best until we scored although they didn’t create loads, a couple of routine saves for Wildsmith and one excellent save (after his worldie save in the first half). Think a defeat was definitely harsh on Bolton. However the concern I would have as a Bolton fan is when we scored they never looked like they were going to equalise. Yes we had to defend at times but we closed the game out relatively comfortably. I don’t think Bolton react well to things going against them and I question if they have the minerals. We can question Warne tactically (think the three subs at halftime were slightly unnecessary and we couldn’t get going, agreed with Thommo coming on for Conor but thought Ward and Barks should’ve stayed on although Kane did get the winner arriving where ward wouldn’t have done) but we won that yesterday primarily because of the band of brothers mentality this team, the heart spirit and togetherness created by the amazing dressing room environment Warne has created, and I think it’s this that will ultimately get us through and over the line 🤞
  9. Seriously do you go to games? If you do are you this negative at those games? If you are then take your support elsewhere, we don’t need “supporters” like you. There are negative posters on here but most are reasoned in their views or they do give praise when it’s due. Your comments are beyond negative almost to the point where I’d question if the team you really support wears red and plays about 15 miles east of Derby.
  10. Derby 3 Bolton 1 Gayle FRGS Lets f****** have it!!! 🐏 🐏 🐏
  11. Trying to convert my Dads OAP ticket to an Adult ticket to bring someone to the game, can you do this online would i need to ring up/go to the ticket office? Tried initially online but doesn’t appear to give me option to change the name on the match ticket. Don’t want to leave it empty if I can help it.
  12. While it was only 2-1 it was probably the most convincing 2-1 you’ll ever see. Could have easily been 4 or 5, their keeper other than the pen made some good saves, we hit the post and they barely created anything. You could argue our 3 best performances of the season have been the last 3 games. We look to be hitting form at precisely the right time. Bring it on.
  13. We may have had the rub of the green but only one team deserved to win that game. 5-1 wouldn’t have flattered us. One of the best home performances this season and that is now 3 wins in a row but importantly 3 back to back high level performances right at the business end of the season when we need it. Playing like this, even if it ends up being the playoffs we’ll beat anyone. Huge game on Saturday but regardless of their 5-0 win tonight, I’m not worried if we play like that. Im a very happy Ram right now.
  14. Seeing Red Dogs and Everton fans jumping onto the Premier League changing the P&S rules for next season while penalising them again the current ones. Clearly they’re a bit thick if they don’t realise the new rules are even stricter and they would probably breach by more if they were to be applied. The fat man writing cheques doesn’t count as revenue.
  15. Not surprised by this, they all wanted him out before their recent run, very similar parallels to Warne here.
  16. Nothing wrong to stumble across it, seem to recall Jim Smith doing similar with Dean Sturridge who wasn’t first choice starting the promotion season. You’re right though that focal point is important and that combined with Joe Ward finally starting to show some form, moving Sibs back to left wing back, and the signing of Ebou Adams have been key to this “mini” resurgence.
  17. I feel the same, we’ll know more this time next week after the Bolton game.
  18. They’ve had a boost from new January signings but they won’t be fully team players yet, if they have a few bumps will their players start pointing fingers at each other and not back each other? Let’s hope, although Mousinho has always come across very well even as a player when he was at Burton, seems like a good manager to work for, so I’m probably clutching. Blackpool away is a tough fixture whether they had 10 men or not (ask Forest, only the likes of Super Rams can dismantle them on their own patch) and given the position they’re in their fans will probably consider it a good point. All we can do is put the pressure on and keep going. The thing I loved about Warne’s interview yesterday is how close and tight the dressing room are, he’s built an amazing culture by the sounds of it, this is vital right now and the last two performances show they’re starting to get the bit between their teeth at the right time. Let’s see how we are after this week. It won’t be anywhere near done but we could take a big step.
  19. Thought ward was excellent today, especially first half. As for stronger sides, this lot had won 3 out of their previous 4 games before yesterday, and we dismantled them on their own patch, when our rivals were dropping points against equivalent or worse sides. Of the remaining fixtures, only Bolton, Blackpool (both at home) and Pompey A are arguably tougher than yesterdays fixture. If we reproduce this performance consistently regardless of who we’re playing we have a great chance. Yesterday we were very good. Its grossly unfair to place some of it down to poor opposition when they weren’t poor. Vale I agree wasn’t the barometer as they were really bad but not the case yesterday. They had their moments and we stood firm.
  20. Top performance from the boys today under big pressure. Business end of the season, lots riding on every game. We followed up two back to back defeats with back to back 3-0 wins including dismantling a side in really good form and to be honest a place I thought we’d slip up at. Barnsley were certainties for autos according to some on here after beating us (you get promoted by beating your rivals after all!!), well not if you throw in a 5-1 home defeat to midtable Lincoln. Can you imagine what the meltdown would be on here if we did that. FWIW Barnsley are still well in it if they can bounce back. Think Warne has stumbled across the winning formula with this line up. Ward and Sibley have been outstanding so dangerous from Wing back, and the front three are a real threat. Then we actually look like we have a decent bench now. Feel this could be a real defining moment today, this week can definitely be defining. Not if we don’t have a great week, we’ll still be in the mix if that happens but if we have a great week and win both matches, I’d be extremely confident in us getting over the line. But this is Derby, we’ll find a way to make things difficult and there will be plenty of twists and turns. But if we’ve found this level of performance at this stage of the season, and we can sustain it, then it’s extremely encouraging.
  21. As others have said, quite sobering, he’s effectively paid more for a league 1 club in disarray than Mel paid for a really well run club on the brink of the premier league - that with better management from Mel should have got to the premier league. To say he’s gone above and beyond is an understatement and any other owner wouldn’t have gone to these lengths, it’s why Mike Ashley wouldn’t buy the club for example. Without Clowes we’d have either gone out of existence or faced further points deductions and potentially further relegation to League 2. We owe him a huge debt of gratitude forever. It’s not his style but Pride Park should be named after him, he at least deserves a stand. He’s probably made the biggest contribution in the history of the club, bigger than any league title wins. It’s also eye watering how much money we’re losing, the category 1 academy is clearly a huge drain. However a wage bill of £7.3m for playing staff while competitive in this league is by no means at a level to guarantee promotion considering the lack of money we’ve spent on transfers. For context Ipswich playing budget last year was £16m and they spent c.£7m in transfers, dwarfing the rest of the division - although doing what they’re doing this season in the championship with that sort of budget is incredible. It’s clear we have to be smart about how we do things if we want to return to the premier league, we don’t have a fat Greek who will bankroll us for £300m from Ill gotten gains. Hopefully the academy will bear fruit but we need to be identifying the right talent in the lower leagues and abroad. Then the quality of the coaching will be the difference between being in a position to compete for the premier league in the next 3 years (Luton, Ipswich) or the next 5-7 years (a return to the Nigel years). Bit first things first get this squad promoted then rebuild. Either way I think this summer will be a major rebuild.
