  1. Yes she was really poor, as poor as the usual tripe we get. Way below the standards she set when she’s previously reffed us. Been on here saying she was the best ref we had last season. She dished out 6 yellow cards in the first half hour!! And it wasn’t a dirty game! There’s no going back from that. The Sibley one was a joke. The NML wasn’t a yellow in my view, strikers tackle if you give one like that you give it later in the game not so early. She didn’t need to give the yellows to leahy and Collo, she didn’t give yellows twice in first half to Wycombe players when she should’ve done for bad tackles, once when she played advantage (rightly despite the boos) and should’ve gone back to book the Wycombe player. Bird Hourihane decisions spot on, penalty is a debatable one, soft decision but down to interpretation so some blame there but not much, and then what about where she accidentally blocked the Derby attack and gave Wycombe the f****** ball on the restart!! 🤬 The really big calls she might have got just about right but her management of the game was hopeless!!
  2. Very angry and frustrated tonight!! Genuinely thought we’d done it with a scrappy 1-0 when not at our best playing a team of anti-footballers, then the penalty, right in front of me, absolutely no way in my view, she looked at the Lino who didn’t give then pointed to the spot anyway. I agree with those saying it’s a 2023 penalty but I’d also say it’s one that VAR would give one week then not give it the next. It was extremely soft but then poor defending from Ward and not for the first time today. As for Rebecca Welch, this is the third time she’s reffed us. She was excellent the first time, good the second, horrendous today. Managed the game really poorly making a rod for her own back with those early nonsensical yellow cards for Sibley and Mendez-Laing. The Collins Leahy (who is a proper Bamford by the way) handbags could’ve avoided 2 bookings easily, there were two challenges after then on Derby players which were stonewall yellow cards not given, ironically when the crowd shouted you don’t know what you’re doing after the Bird yellow, that decision was spot on, it was the poor decisions prior that contributed to ruining the game. The only time she was consistent was booking vokes for the same offence as Sibley, which then left her a problem when he booted a Derby player in the face, she could’ve easily sent Vokes off for two bookings but that would’ve been a bad call IMO. Genuinely thought she was a class act but take it all back after today, she’s as useless as the usual rabble of officials we get week in week out at this level. Definitely no worse, we’ve had worse refs this season. Thought we tried to play today but the players weren’t quite at it. Wildsmith Cashin Ward Hourihane Sibley all below par. Ward I thought really struggled and I’m surprised he stayed on. Still unbeaten in 6, we were never going to win 10-12 in a row which we would need to do to get the results we want over Christmas and New Year where maximum points will be really useful to us. A win on Thursday sets us up nicely for some tricky Christmas fixtures.
  3. Forest following a similar trend to Leeds here (only Leeds played better football). They twisted and got rid of Bielsa, probably wrong decision. Forest will be fine this season, but then unless they improve significantly next season will be vulnerable. Would fancy Leicester or even Ipswich to beat this lot right now
  4. Because we’ve spent the first few months of the season bedding in new players and dealing with injuries obviously 🙄😜. We usually time our good run this time of year, need to avoid the February decline which given we have more options this year and we’re going to strengthen in January gives us a great chance. It’s not where you are now it’s the end of the season that counts.
  5. We know how Bolton play, lots of passing from the back building through the thirds. I think Pompey play a very similar style to us. A bit more direct and lots of pressing and energy. Very even game although that is miss of the season from Dion Charles
  6. Getting stabbed might have had something to do with it. Never the same player after that. Dread to think the impact that episode would’ve had on his mental health.
  7. Always remember journey back after the playoff final. The Villa fans were decent, good banter before the game also. Much prefer them to the bluenoses.
  8. Some pace being set right now. Based on PPG extrapolated over 46 games Pompey - 102 Bolton - 100 Peterborough 87 Derby - 87 Oxford - 87 Stevenage - 85 Barnsley - 82 It won’t stay quite like this but can definitely see high number of points being needed for top 6. Top 7 are way better than the rest, can see Blackpool joining the party maybe Stevenage falling away but who knows. Wigan could still come from the pack but they’re giving themselves a lot to do. Going to be wide open and we have as good a chance as anyone.
  9. Villa have gone from strength to strength with their ownership and some luck (Sheff United game on Covid restart), we would’ve most likely been relegated with Mel at the helm. Let’s get it right, Villa are a massive club, they belong at the top table. Makes me laugh that the red dogs think they are equivalent. They are not even close.
  10. Honestly to hear their self entitled b******* today. Wetting themselves about Friday night at their (self proclaimed) world famous city ground with Mull of Kintyre played at the right time. They drew with Wolves, their expensive summer signings all benched or not in the squad, including that Sangare who was supposedly the player who was going to take them to the next level. Toffolo coming out and saying how today proves the whole club is United from the owner down - the biggest load b******* I’ve ever heard. They are a f****** mess. But they’ll probably survive and cooper genuinely is probably their best chance.
  11. Strange game today. Thought we were poor at times, careless on the ball careless in attacking areas wasting good situations. Collins should’ve had 2 before half time. Sibley’s goal was exceptional and he was the bright spark for me in the first half. The red card changed it and in the end we won comfortably but there were times in the second half where we lacked control and made it difficult. Orient are not bad, try to play photos stuff and caused us problems but exactly as their podcast guy said on RD, not ruthless in both boxes, that was the main difference. All our goals were good and we got a 3-0 without playing especially well. It feels like something is building. The turnaround since Stevenage has been amazing and full credit must go to Warne and his staff. We now have two very winnable home games before potentially some season defining Christmas games. Even if it doesn’t go our way we will enter January in the promotion mix which gives us a great chance to strengthen. Looking forward to Thommo coming back and sounds like the manager is as well, think he’ll really improve us in midfield. B4’s sister is taking us all the way to the end of the season on the match threads!! 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻🐏🐏🐏🐏
  12. Sure we’re not going to be able to splash the cash but look at Luton. They’ve done it with a clear strategy and everyone in the club aligned to the goal. The best Derby side of the last 20 years had one of the lowest wage bills in the championship, Nigel Clough built it over 5 years supplemented by academy players. Looks like we’ve got some serious talent coming through again. The key will be that one or two season window we have an opportunity we have to take it, we didn’t in 2014 and it cost us dearly. The target needs to be putting ourselves in the frame for a premier league promotion push within the next 3-5 years
  13. Leyton Orient 0 Derby 2 - Mendez-Laing FRGS
  14. Maranakis and cooper (and Jon Moss) are the reason they are in the premier league. Maranakis is equally capable of dismantling everything they’ve done. They’ve got there through splashing the cash, getting a good manager and a few enormous slices of luck. They didn’t do it by having a strategy and being well run for all their PR. Had they not got up players would’ve been sold for FFP, and Maranakis was rumoured to have been getting frustrated at the financial restrictions in the EFL and considering selling the club. It is impossible for a club ran so chaotically to have sustained success. But look at Olympiakos, yes - lots of success but they’ve always been one of the biggest clubs in Greece and now they’re not doing so well. I still think they’ll survive this season (to go down this season with the money they’ve spent and Everton’s points deduction would be truly shambolic) but i hope this is the start of revolving door of foreign managers with more poor signings and their demise back to the championship in the next 2 years.
  15. The bits of the match I watched, my god they were dog s***!!! They’ve been banging on about that sangare who they spunked about £30m on who is the player that will take them to the next level, he looked terrible. That Murillo however will be playing champions league next season - what a player the big clubs have missed a trick there and the red dogs will make a tidy profit. Rumour is chairman wants top 10 this season 🤣🤣. I’m hoping this is where Maranakis blows it all up with his unrealistic ambitions. Sticking with cooper is probably best thing they can do right now they’ll get better and finish about 12th, 13th. They could change manager and either finish in the same position or end up in a relegation battle they should be nowhere near this season.
  16. Back to the game. I enjoyed going despite the new away end being hideous. Thought without being brilliant we dominated the game last night and would’ve won by more if it wasn’t for Connor Ripley in goal who has found himself in team of the week (although his distribution is shocking). Thought Curtis Nelson was his usual 7/8 out of 10, Cash was outstanding and both dealt well with Ikpeazu. Wilson was electric, ably supported by Bird Fornah Mendez and Collo. Warne looked a genius with the subs, both immediately involved in the goal and JJ looks a real player hope we can keep him fit. Players who in my view are struggling are Hourihane and Fozzy (defensively), he’s been getting a lot of love from some fans recently but I think his last few performances have been poor defensively, Cash bailed him out a couple of times last night. His forward play in recent games has been much better definitely, but I feel we need Elder fit and playing instead. I’ve always been a staunch Fozzy defender but think this could be his last season in a Rams shirt. I said a while back the port vale game is a good time to assess where we’re at. I started turning against Warne after Stevenage and said he needed a winning run like last season to turn it around, he’s now won 4 on the spin. We’re ahead of where we were last season scored more goals and we’re closer to the top 2. This seasons game against vale while it didn’t have the drama, it was a much better performance than last season. While Im now unconvinced Warne is the man for the long term, we are well in the hunt for promotion and to make a change would be lunacy. Barring a monumental collapse we should probably keep him for the season and I can definitely see us finishing top 6 minimum which has to be the aim. However I thought we’d make top 6 last season!! 🤣
  17. Main thing we need in my view is JJ to somehow stay fit and we extend his loan/sign him. He’s a serious player. We need another striker and a winger, along with a left back if Elder isn’t fit, we need to address this area in the summer as I think Fozzy’s level has deteriorated this season and I no longer think he’s good enough. Other moves depend on outgoings. Potentially would look to try and move Barkhuizen Sibley and Collins on if we can get replacements.
  18. Did his ACL in the cup game against Boro, out for the season. Agree wouldve been a good signing, maybe longer term but there’s that injury risk
  19. Not made it to a papa johns game this season after going to the Grimsby game last season. Going to try and get down for this one. Hope we can put on another decent show while praying Forest u21s get knocked out
  20. Last season was brilliant until the last 3 months of the season when he faded. This season he was really poor in the opening weeks, last 4-6 weeks he’s been on fire again. I’ve been critical of warne running him into the ground and leaving him on when he’s having a shocker, yesterday was proof as to why Warne leaves him on. Poor by his standards first half, yet won us the game in the second and looked unplayable at times. He’s our most important player.
  21. We’ve just got to be in the top 6 or very close to it January then strengthen for the final push. We weren’t great but overall we were still better than Bristol and deserved the, this off the back of 3 very good and entertaining home performances, need to get that early season away form back I agree. This league is wide open and I expect top 6 minimum whoever is in charge, and I think we’re capable even with Warne in charge.
  22. Sadly not. A few of their fans have lost their heads on this, even their journo Paul Taylor has got in on the act. Proper salty!! Not to mention cooper blaming the referee….AGAIN!!! All comes down to having delusions of grandeur, thinking they’re way bigger club than they are, thinking they’re a better team than they are and having unrealistic expectations. They can’t even enjoy being a premier league club 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
  23. First half was awful and I actually thought we deserved to be losing. Second half while we didn’t play great was a massive improvement, we should’ve put the game to bed before they equalised but great character to win it - brilliant cameo from Fornah. Put ourselves in a decent position with some very winnable games coming up, starting Tuesday against vale, we need an away performance!! COYR!!!! 🐏 🐏 🐏
