Wasn’t to be, the proper batters had to keep swinging, which always gave the opportunity to be caught out. Expecting Conners and. Scrimshaw to do that when Sussex kept the field out was never going to happen. Thought that was a bit negative again from them, took half the final over to bring everyone in.
Excitng, competitive cricket is what I want from a Derbyshire team, and we got that this week.

Win, lose or draw, this was a good performance, decided in part by George being forced out of the attack for no-ball infringements.
He will live and learn.

I only saw the 3rd one, which didn't look a no ball at all, and the fielders were convinced was edged behind. Safe to say du Plooy and co weren't happy

As discussed in the commentary yesterday, he lands in 25th place on the all time list for all format runs. 
Rubbing shoulders with the greats of the game, and above the likes of Brian Lara, Alistair Cook, Ricky Ponting and Rahul Dravid to name a few.

Around 2500 runs behind Kim. I'd like to see him get there. Would need at least 2 seasons.
