  1. If we are forced to sell because he won’t commit to a new contract then it might not be the worst thing, depending on how much we get. I’ve seen figures of about £2mil banded about. If we were to spend £2mil on a midfielder, I’d expect to get somebody who is a standout midfielder in this league. Max Bird isn’t that. For comparison, Finn Azaz is going from Villa to Boro for £2mil and he is a much better player than Bird. We can definitely improve the team with those funds, if we made smart decisions in the market.
  2. Bristol City have more ex-Derby players than Derby have ex-Rotherham players. They may as well call themselves Derby B. Must be because Nigel Pearson used to be their manager. #NeedSomeScouts

    Wayne Rooney

What a shame, he was doing a good job.
  4. They wouldn't have. Wilson left for Bristol City in the summer of 2022, Savage didn't join FGR on loan until January 2023.
  5. The only luck was that he didn't get a second yellow. They still deserved the win, and they might still have got a goal, but I don't think they would have won if they were down to 10 men from that point.
  6. Win our game in hand and we’re 4 points off top 2 at most. Today is gutting but there’s a long way to go, and we have favourable games coming up to put this right. It’s all about how we bounce back now.
  7. Sleeping there. Really poor goal to concede.
  8. I was screaming at Ward to cut his run to Bird’s left. That’s where the space was and would’ve put him in an excellent position to get the ball or be a decoy.
  9. Credit to Callum Elder (the man who does actually exist after all) this half. That’s not the first time he’s made a potentially goal saving block, and he’s putting his body on the line at the same time.
  10. It was a great save from Talley but Collins still managed to add to his chart. I’ll get my coat.
  11. I’ll settle for no next goal which will also be crucial!
  12. Posh are so lucky not to be down to 10. Their player claiming the push possibly saved him there? It was in no way a foul on him, but I don’t see any way in which punching the ball above your head is not a yellow card.
  13. Forsyth on a yellow and their wingers can probably walk as quick as he can run so that’s understandable. Hourihane took a knock so that might be why, Barkhuizen looked alright so I’m surprise that change was made this early.
  14. Pretty decent first half for a neutral. Fairly end to end, they’ve been the better side. You can tell it’s a League One game, though. Both sides could’ve had more but it’s the last ball which is lacking. I hope it’s more game management rather than being knackered, but we look quite tired. 3 games in a week with no changes, it might be one that’s won off the bench for us.
  15. A bit better in the last few minutes. Wilson’s an excellent player.
  16. Yep I had a look to see if they have any injuries, any possible points deductions for previous unpaid wages or anything like that but nothing, it's strange.
  17. Well according to SkyBet, we are now favourites to win the league... Derby 15/8, Pompey 5/2, Posh 7/2 and Bolton 4/1. I'm not sure why Bolton are those odds, they are currently in a stronger position than us. I think it'll be two from those four, if I had to stick my neck out, I'd say us and Bolton right now.
  18. What a result. What a f****** result. The performance, the comeback, the nature of the win. We shot ourselves in the foot early on, 2-0 down away to a top 6 side within 15 mins and could've succumbed to a nothing performance. We did the exact opposite. Our form is excellent but this is the biggest "sign" for me. We can win in different ways, put in different types of performances and still get results. It's the sign of a promotion team. I'm probably getting carried away, but you don't see this kind of thing from Derby very often. I hope we follow it up with a win vs Posh, then we really are onto something. But for now, I'll enjoy tonight. Luckily I'm a moderator and can go and clear any trace of my Warne comments after the Stevenage game, because I was very wrong. He deserves so much credit, he's got us doing things I never thought he'd be capable of. Hats off to you gaffer.
