Perhaps we should recruit Jamaal Lascelles he is a Derby lad.
Place of birth Derby, England
I remember washing Jamaal Lascelles, fathers car, many moons ago.
His dad was Tim Lascelles, a Derby basketball player and I went to school with the son of Terry Mangrum (I think it was) who was the coach of Derby Storm.
Jamaal was a baby at the time.

So was at the Training Ground tonight and picked up 3 bits of information.
1) Ben Osborn was shown around the training ground (nothing groundbreaking)
2) Kayden Jackson was also shown around the training ground.
3) Kion Etete was also there at the training ground… but it looks like he was using the facility with a personal trainer doing 1:1 rather than it being a transfer link!
Yes, Osborn is the player Warne referred to when he said he had spoken to a player who then jetted straight off to Portugal.

Jesus, what does PW have to do to gain any praise? Do you honestly feel CH was dropped because of criticism rather than Warne could see he had started to struggle and needed a rest from the starting eleven?
He isn't criticising Paul Warne!?!
He is talking about Ebou being a key player and a main reason why we were promoted!
Even when being positive there are still people who jump on the opinions of others and pick the bones out.

Been told that keeper is signed as is a midfielder. As others have suggested waiting for kit announcement, no firm date on that. Interviews have been done. Will be interesting listening to them if there’s any clue when they were done. As always time will tell.
One camp says the the keeper is Rodak, the other camp says the keeper is Iversen, thankfully Mick Camp says it aint Lee 😆
Midfielder most likely Ebou.
Someone else just told me that Osborne is likely to sign...I will believe that when I see it.
Josh Murphy would be a good signing and the more I look into Scott McKenna, i think he could be a great signing. Great age, solid defender. Him alongside Curtis Nelson and potentially Cashin...not too shabby.

I can't imagine we will announce any signings before the kit is revealed...New signings will surely be either wearing or holding up the new shirt.
I predict the shirt to be revealed next week, Thursday and then fixtures the week after..
Signings will follow that.
Just from Twitter my guess is Iversen, Murphy and Ebou are as good as done.

I take it you weren’t at the the Stevenage away game, what Warne had to endure was about as far away from civilised debate as you could get.
Compared to what the Derby fans had to endure that game, I would say it was quite mild 😉

What I don’t get with this forum is why some people seem to think that others are not allowed different views, is that not what a forum is all about? If we all had the same opinions would it not be totally boring🤷♂️
Such is life. Some people struggle to have a discussion or debate without attacking others unfortunately.
I always imagine they are the type of people you get at work who think they are really important but everyone else secretly thinks are a massive

The Vicar will be the No1 with a No2 required.
Sounds like Iverson will be number 1.

I also hope he does well of course. But I fear the financial constraints will continue - absent new investors I doubt we’ll see a big change in our profile in the recruiting market
I would be surprised if we didn't get new investors, it seems like such a key time for it to happen.

Ryan Allsop has had a strange career. He was signed during the basket-case era, performed brilliantly for us, moved on and has been universally hated by supporters at the clubs he's been at since. Hull fans, in particular, were incensed that he was getting picked and looks as though the chairman used it as a reason to relieve Rosenior of his duties.
I'd hope for better, but just shows how fragile the career of a goalkeeper can be.
If its true we have signed Iversen from Leicester then I'm guessing Allsopp would be number 2, number 3, or more likely, of no interest to us.

Someone in the club shop knows the release date. We need to send the boys down to interrogate them.
You might be better nipping to Pride Park and asking one of the fellas cutting the grass.

He’s 32 and it’s a two year deal, but apart from that you’re right 😉
He signed the contract in January when he was 31 (turned 32 in April), but apart from that, you're right 😉

Club website has only ever said "in June" so sometime in the next 18 days. Is 18 days "imminent"? If so, you'd be correct. My opinion is that "imminent" would, to most people, mean inside a couple of days at most.
Would that be 24 or 48 hours?

Problem here is some posters don’t like warne. and the same posters will not like anyone who manages the club.
I didn't like Warne, I liked Jim Smith, George Burley, Stevie Mac and Lampard (until Wembley).
Warnes football at times was painful to watch, and his tactics at times were lacking. It was a pretty easy league 1 this year, with the big teams (Reading and Wigan), being written off before a ball was kicked.... BUT, he got the results that mattered so fair play to him and he proved me wrong in getting promotion. I didn't think we would make the playoffs let alone top 2.
I will back him now though and look forward to seeing how he performs and who he can sign. He more than deserves his chance now and it will be interesting to see what happens now his hands aren't tied by the EFL.

He looked a great prospect when we had him, he seems a confident fella and maybe someone within the club didnt like that?

Myths? He's always struggled with injuries since he was coming through the academy. Max was a player, I know a lot of people in the academy were massively excited about coming through as a kid, never mind teenager, but from what I'm led to believe he really started to struggle with fitness/injuries from about 15/16 years of age.
I think he was around the first team in the 13/14 season yet didn't really breakthrough until after his loan move to Aberdeen 18/19 so 19/20 season for us. I believe a lot of that was due to the stunt in his progression due to the injuries and how his body stands up to the rigours of professional football. The 19/20 season is also the most minutes he has ever played in a league season (2281) which is roughly half of the overall minutes.
A lot of the time he may just not have been chosen to play, but equally the more minutes he plays so does the inevitably of the risk of injuries. I do like Max as a player, though. I think he's an underrated defender but probably an overrated attacking fullback. He's a solid signing depending on a) how much they're paying him, assuming he would've been on good money at Sheff Utd and b) how often they can get him on the pitch.
Sheff United fans on social media have been saying how poor his injury record has been with them.

I ended up being taught by Mark Wallington for a year, he seemed a nice bloke.

That's a shame. Seems a decent character as well. The two year deal we put on the table wasn't enough then. Losing out to players again to Oxford is a worry as we've shifted some considerable wage and he's a player Warne knows.
Did we definitely table a bid?
Seems a shame if we tabled a bid and he turned us down, seeing as he would know Paul Warne well and know what he is about.
Also a shame to lose a player to Oxford given that Mark Thomas has come here.

David Clowes and his brother may have inherited a good business but they are not going to blow £180 million like Mel did . I would imagine they have a budget and Warne is not the type of manager who will be banging on the door , demanding more money .
If anything, I think David Clowes would be banging on Paul's door asking "have you spent that money yet".
