  1. I love that track, full of energy, but I suspect most under 50s won't have a clue what it is.
  2. Yep, there were a few in that little stand at the side? And they sold the front rows right at the end, which is what caused all the trouble!
  3. I think we only got the 1800 last season?
  4. And again, rubbish that next stage of sales starts at 10 am on a Saturday morning when most 10+ members will be halfway to Fleetwood. Doesn't affect me personally, but it doesn't show much thought from ticket office staff.
  5. We asked about that in the ticket office this morning, but they knew nothing.
  6. Exactly. What a shame Washington and Waghorn weren't on six month loan spells. Will either of them get back to full fitness this season? Waggy has at least given us some goals early doors, and he's a good option off the bench when we need to hold the ball up, but Washington hasn't really offered us anything this season.
  7. Just as many went from South Stand. Huge gaps. Same in East and West stands. You just can't see it when you're in it.
  8. Given that a generation is about 30 years and it wasn't written until 1996 that's some exaggeration! I dislike the crap editing, which means you can't even clap to it evenly. But unless supporters start getting to their seats earlier, whatever is sung will be largely ignored by a sizeable minority.
  9. 1Wildsmith 6 did some good stuff, but thought he could have been better positioned on occasions 24Nyambe 6 in a real battle, broke about even, first time I've seen him not come out on top 35Nelson 6.5 good defending generally but that third goal 6Cashin 6.5 ditto 3Forsyth 5.5 was done a few times early doors but improved when he got closer on his man, didn't get much help from his winger 20Elder 7 looked like a player who knows he's got a real fight on his hands to get a regular start; did his prospects no harm with this performance and one great block. Better going forward than I expected 4Hourihane 5 a tired performance and rightly subbed. Should he have started? 16Thompson 6.5 lively and retained the ball well, but not fully match fit yet 2Wilson 6.5 a bit hit and miss, kept turning ball out of play but some fantastic runs too. His end product needs work 24Ward 6 seemed a bit subdued, I was expecting more against his old club 11Méndez-Laing 5.5 worked hard early doors but nothing quite came off; didn't cover his man's runs back enough, that made Fozzy's job harder 19John-Jules 6.5 his control is good but still not fully match fit and didn't seem to get any decisions from the referee 8Bird 6.5 great forward pass for the first goal, worked hard and started most of our moves, but was beaten rather easily by their midfielders 9Collins 8 great closing down, two goals and even offered defensive cover. One of his best games in a Derby shirt 7Barkhuizen 5 apart from his contribution to the first goal he looked lost 17Sibley 6.5 helped the midfield balance and kept plugging away; although he had limited offensive moves, did put in the ball that resulted in the penalty ATG
  10. I thought Bird was excellent at Wigan, was instrumental in our comeback at Oxford, today his was the key pass forward that made our first goal, his run on goal was great too until Ward ran the wrong way to create an angle for the final ball. He has worked his bloody socks off (they're not very long!) in a two man midfield with an aging partner over the last three games. I'd like to see how wonderful that Randall would be in the same circumstances? Tsssh.
  11. I would have taken the 6 points from 9 in these last three games, but I suppose for the majority of supporters who only see the home games, today's performance was a disappointment. I think Warne deliberately front-loaded those fixtures by playing his first choice eleven at Wigan, knowing a win there would be the easiest of the three. He then has a bit of a dilemma in whether he changes a winning team and stuck by it on both subsequent occasions, when maybe it was better to twist? Of course, winning breeds confidence and that must have been a factor in his decision. It paid off at Oxford, with good use of substitutions, and might have done today. But I think the tough nature of those fixtures was a factor in our below par level this afternoon. One thing that hasn't been covered today, is that if you're going to sacrifice your third midfield player for an extra striker then that front line absolutely has to deliver the goods. Although Peterborough had plenty of the ball in that first half we had some really promising counter attacks (when the ball was played into the forwards by those "poor" midfielders Hourihane and Bird! 😉) but the forwards didn't make the right decisions on the ball and those attacks petered out (pun intended). I thought Mendez-Laing was particularly guilty of that today, he's my fave so I noticed it! Tired minds rather than tired legs after the hectic schedule? Similarly, players laying the ball off when there wasn't a perfect opportunity to shoot. Just not quite sharp enough in their collective decision making. Despite this, I thought we more or less deserved the draw for our hard work and persistence, but again tired minds in the defence, a sloppy moment when we switched off at a quick short corner, and two of our most reliable defenders with an almost intuitive understanding going for the same header for their winner. Disappointed but not down-hearted; we have a run of winnable games coming up, we have the news that Cashin's contract extension has been triggered and Warne himself says he doesn't want anyone to leave. About his swearing on Radio Derby, I think it must have been edited out of the second playing just before 6pm, as I never heard it. Of course, I might just have missed it like the ref missed all those fouls on TJJ!
  12. Rams 2 - 0 Peterborough FRGS Mendez-Laing
  13. Of course the one thing that differs from last season is that the vast majority of our players have had a full Warne pre-season in them. If he's got his training regime right, they shouldn't be suffering the same downturn in fitness as the season progresses.

  15. is that a thing? I've emailed the Club, but it's only a few quid.
  16. Charged me twice for my drinks in the concourse. As if the admission wasn't daylight robbery enough!
  17. His dad was buzzing after the game last night. I could be wrong but I don't think Cash wants to go anywhere. If it happens, it will be because the Club want it to rather than the player.
  18. Their first sub at half time was down to an injury, but the manager continued the trend when he took off the number 9, who was the main one wrestling Cashin and keeping him occupied. Freed up our Beckenbauer nicely to turn creative maestro.
  19. That's Helen (Honeybun Ram!) Goes to every game, home and away.
  20. I think there were quite a few of us in the home stands too. We like to help out where we can!
  21. Sorry to hear that. Get better soon and keep doing the exercises!
  22. I always know it's been an enjoyable game when I have a croaky voice the next day!
  23. Said I'd give it until Christmas. It's Christmas. I'm happy.
  24. Sorry to hear that, hope you're fighting fit again soon. Saw your dad at the game yesterday. It still feels like Daniel will come walking down the concourse to join us any minute. He's definitely overseeing this unbeaten run and long may it continue. Oxford will come at us on Friday, should suit us. Another win will be very useful.
