  1. There will be a lot more detail in the Derby County (Rams) accounts, which aren't due for some time, as I presume they will follow the usual football year end of 30th June. Clowes developments accounts follow a more traditional 31st March year end, hence the nine months turnover for the "new" subsidiary.
  2. Here is a bit more detail from Richard Cusack.
  3. I think positive, given we had transfer debts to pay off. I would have to look at the full accounts to form a proper view, but I can't be bothered to search for them. I am sure some will, though.
  4. Clowes Devevelopments' accounts have now been published. Here is Maguire's interpretation.
  5. Sorry, back to the match. Does anyone else think the latest update is a little less positive than the earlier one?
  6. No, not really. But I think the way they were with Bury, us, Wigan are the main reasons that the Government recognised that change is needed. At least we survived, and are flourishing.
  7. Apologies for the link with all the adverts, but it basically sounds like Max is waiting to see where we are at the end of the season before he decides what he's going to do next.
  8. Maybe they are learning? I don't think it has helped Reading, tbh, because it has let their owner wriggle off the hook repeatedly.
  9. I must admit that I think Derby's approach was much more positive in garnering support, those lads who organised the march were tremendous. And it would be easier for Derby fans to support a demonstration at Reading pre or post match rather than another pitch invasion. I will be at the match and will be very disgruntled if that happens! But an out of match protest would get little or no coverage in the mainstream media and they are in a very different situation to us. The worst had already happened to us, whereas they are trying to get their owner to do something about the dreadful situation he has put the club in. The EFL won't currently help this situation whatever they do because the way things are set up they are part of the problem. Their range of sanctions only hits the club and more importantly their supporters harder, as we find out to our cost only too recently. Change is needed at the very top.
  10. Six months to play for his future as a professional footballer - it's in his own hands (or should that be feet?) now. He has the skills, now he needs to work on both his fitness and match-impact. I am looking forward to seeing how he does.
  11. Yes, they were actually - and numerous fans from clubs across the UK came to the march and subsequent sell out game against Birmingham at Pride Park. Putting hard cash in our coffers when we needed it. And supporting initiatives like the one to pay back St John's Ambulance when they lost out in our administration. I can understand people who hear chants from a small vocal minority of supporters at games taking umbrage, but this isn't about them, or the Club, it's about those patient fans who put in the hard yards - year in, year out - following their club. I feel their pain, and tbf, I think B4 would do too, given how anguished he was when we were in the same situation. Some things are more fundamental than fan rivalry.
  12. Yea, but we always struggle with the single syllable names. Max Bird hasn't got a song. Even the great George Thorne's song was just his name. I reckon we can get a whole fairy story woven around Corey Blackett Taylor!
  13. I don't think Seddon was all that. He was very lucky not to have got booked first half and that would have made him play more cautiously, imo. Like a lot of players, they have their best games against Derby at Pride Park. Big game, big occasion for them. Hugill, though, will have class, he's from Man United's academy. See how he likes it when he's being manhandled at Stevenage, but we gave him room to play. He's bound to appreciate that.

That made me mark JJ up, because he did some really good connecting play, as did Bird, stuff that seems to go un-noticed by many. Hourihane was good too, very involved all game. Elder made a mistake early doors as well as being done for their second, and Nelson really should have come out to Seddon, Cashin was already moving across to cover. It's easy to say with hindsight, but we really should have been more comfortable than we were. This is what defensive frailties and a bit of luck do to you. We need to be more ruthless when we're on top so we don't put ourselves in these situations. 1-0 was a poor return for our first half dominance and that's what nearly cost us.
  15. He looked like his heart was in it when he celebrated that winning goal! I think he will be gone at the end of the season, and then we'll see what transpires. Hourihane and Bird will always attract criticism while they're the only two midfield players. I'm not a fan of only two in there, but Warne is. We're winning plenty of games set up that way, so what do I know?
  16. That Notts County side looked younger than even our under 18s. What were Notts County thinking of?
  17. Rams 2 - 1 Burton FRGS Mendez-Laing
  18. Sorry, meant to post this one and couldn't remove video above.
  19. I was always a bit gobby, tbf. Although he may have been aiming at his mate and just missed! He was pretty tanked up.
