Hourihane is what he is an ageing but decent enough player who will score a few goals but I don’t see what Bird does apart from the odd bit of nice play he just seems like he doesn’t want to get overly involved doesn’t score but is ok against the weaker teams

I’m not sure I want Warne to have any more funds to spend We don’t control games and our midfield is slow and laboured but it’s also because we don’t out to control games I don’t think we will go up this season if I’m honest we should cash in on bird if anyone wants him and use it to give another manager a chance to rebuild our midfield Thommo was good tonight yet brought off I am not convinced one bit that we are better keeping Warne because tonight was piss poor note to Elder though who was our best player tonight get control in a 3 man midfield then play 433 with NML and CBT and Collins or another option striker because that tonight was hard to watch

Thommo has done well and worked hard Bird is too slow and slows the game up even more how we need a proper engine in the middle don’t think Elder has done too badly tbh TJJ and CBT will make a difference but we have no options to swap any CMs I wouldn’t take Thommo off and Hourihane has a goal chance in him

I would too if it meant say getting Brannagan from Oxford and another CM like Arblaster I'd take it as much as a lot love Bird , he's not the strongest i'm afraid and do think our midfield needs refreshing I'd also let Sibley go

Callaghan really impressed with us and although wasn't fast he could go past a player and cross a superb ball in Gary Micklewhite was so underrated and was brilliant for us and can honestly say was one of the biggest bargains we have ever signed The Tin Man just had something about him with his languid style and could drop his shoulder and go past a player, always remember him scoring away at Spurs and running round behind the goal to celebrate CBT will have a lot to do to get anywhere near them but good luck to the lad

I think a midfielder who can score goals and be creative and be very influential is the signing that would take us to another level This is where I'd be spending our money , I really don't like how teams seem to go straight through a non existent centre midfield at times but playing 3 rather than 2 in there would help a CM who could chip in with 8-10 goals a season would be brilliant

If we are letting Brown go on loan to Gateshead we must get a striker in as only leaves us with Collo and TJJ

Speaking to my Charlton STH mates at work this morning they are not pleased with the terms of the deal being a loan and the fact he can play twice against them which they said infuriated there supporters chat rooms last night lol Onto the player himself they have all said ( much prior to us signing him ) that he is a good player but extremely frustrating as doesn't always choose the right option and has a tendency to pull a lot of his shots wide going near post when should go across the goal saying all of that though they do say we have a decent player and has pace

Disappointing if he's not involved tomorrow night which currently looks unlikely

Disagree, surely even if we paid his wages for the rest of the season its better than having a player who's not playing at all and still costing the club. No player who doesn't play benefits the club as you still have to pay them

I think we need to freshen up the midfield in this one I’d start Thommo in a midfield 3 with Bird and Hourihane I do think if we play 2 in there it will be same as Saturday and will leave us susceptible to counters through our middle

Arblaster wouid be a game changer if we could get him but only if we played 3 in midfield in a 433 of Hourihane Bird and Arblaster From what ive seen of Arblaster would make a big difference I rate him highly but If we played a 2 in midfield Bird would be the one to miss out because Arblaster has a lot more to his game but only from what I’ve seen 433 is defo the formation I’d prefer especially if CBT signs

There is no way deals don’t get done because it’s over a weekend so must be another reason maybe because we’re actually spending a transfer fee the efl have to do a few more checks than normal to be able to rubber stamp the deal ….maybe

Perhaps some might see now that we need a CM ….someone who can score and open up defences but maybe some are right saying Warne doesn’t play enough through midfield …its games like this that frustrates me as Lincoln are bang average and that game was too open
