Don't know about no brainer but get your points , my point is as long as he contributes to us becoming a better side and for 500k thats not guaranteed , because fans really want to see us sign him it is slightly detracting from the fact of ...is he any good ? From what I've seen there will be plenty moaning about him as he tends to drag a lot of shots/chances wide when should do better But i'd like us to sign him purely for the pace threat he carries and with NML on the other side will make us quite feared when attacking but I don't think 300k is a bad fee for a player out of contract in a few months thats all I think 500k is too much and we need more than 1 player

Hes not worth 500k would you pay 500k for something you could get for zilch in a few months ? hes not a bad player but hes also not as good as you’re making out and 500k is way too much if we could get him for half that or maybe 300k then fair enough …he can be quite frustrating type of player and i think NML is better than him but he has pace and that will scare teams but i wouldn’t pay 500k for him

So update ( although not much of one ) is that my Charlton insider mate has said CBT is supposedly carrying a knock but believes from what he’s heard he’s played his last game for CAFC and said he believes it is us that’s the main interested party as hasn’t heard any other clubs mentioned apart from us He thinks a figure of 350k would get him not the 500k that has been mentioned but to me that seems a lot for a player out of contract soon also another note …Dobson there CM looks like he’s on his way as was taken off yesterday and done a lap around the stadium applauding the fans and is also out of contract soon I quite like Dobson and is quite a tough player who gets stuck in I actually wouldn’t mind if we got him as well as CBT Charlton fans love Dobson and I’ve always thought he’s a good CM

10 + players of which literally 2 of them Nelson and Nyambe are regular starters so not sure the summer was exactly a massive improvement as you suggest we have needed players at the top end as PW puts it yet sign up Waggy and Washington who although arent bad players still come across as make do signings rather than must have signings I’m not being negative iM just pointing out that the window gets a lot of fans excited but in reality we can’t get the real game changing type of players that hopefully are on our list of targets over the line which is worrying if we can’t compete with the likes of Charlton

I think the reason some get a bit disappointed when the window is open is the same reason I do We don’t want to spend silly money and go against financial restraints blahdy blah but it’s the fact that PW explains how difficult it is to get anyone and all the stars have to line up and the wind has to be blowing in the right direction etc etc when others seem to just get on with it and get players in eg Charlton signing Coventry it seems to follow a similar path each time saying we are near players have been shown round blah blah and we all think this is Derby and we should be able to sign a couple of half decent first team players for league 1 and then in the last few days PW says we tried but everything can just change and it’s so difficult to get the right players in yet also say it’s not difficult to get players to play for a club like ours ?? Then hey presto …last knockings of the window cue the Springett and White signings ….lol ….we’ve had all season to identify the players that would make a difference yet something stops it from happening and I don’t think it’s all about finances

Do agree with you but Wilson was brought in as a RWB or RB and he’s not good enough defensively for me and has been playing further forward where’s he’s done ok but we didn’t really buy him to play there and if we bought a proper winger I don’t think Wilson will be a starter

Spot on …I have not changed my mind on our midfield because Bird showed some drive and went past a player to set up Barks on Saturday i dont see it enough from any of our midfielders…we need a goalscoring midfielder who can also control the tempo and dictate the game and be a player always available wanting the ball a difficult find but even a few of those traits would be different to what we have too many of our mids go missing or don’t want to gamble and break the lines they stay safe if we need to generate money to be able to sign a few then I’d let Sibley Smith and Bird go if it meant we’d get a decent striker a CM and another winger But here lies the problem I’m yet to be won over by our recruitment team as only Nyambe and Nelson appear to be decent signings the rest I can honestly say wouldn’t matter if they all left except we’d only have youngsters on the bench or maybe Clowes is not convinced that Warne is the right man to spend any money but either way Roseniors signings apart from the two I mentioned are still the foundation of our side

I hope we get a few over the line this month that can make a difference as I’m not sure I could stand another season in this s**** division

My Charlton STH mates have said CBT is defo going and we have been mentioned when I asked about CBT though they all agreed he’s super frustrating , quick yes but lacks ball control and guile and will frustrate a lot of fans if we signed him

No and this is my worry ....I'm not at all confident we'll see the type of signings that would get you off your seat...but they might be able to run a lot I'm not entirely convinced that managers of Prem and even some Championship clubs see Derby as a place to trust there players development regarding some decent loans which could be pivotal to us getting up

Glad we are out tbh but that was a f***** shambles No Cohesion, game plan and no football and some players who are not in the starting line up will remain on the bench, maybe time we offloaded some of the players who can't hold down a starting place because tonight they showed Zilch!!

So I'm guessing this is what Warne is alluding too when he says things can change in an instant, this deal may not happen now as JCH has been apparently offered a better deal at the end of the season by a club as his contract will be up and no fee meaning more money for the player At 29 he wants this deal to be a good one so it looks like he might be staying at Posh for now this is a reliable source who also says we are definitely interested in CBT but also said in his opinion can be somewhat erratic and speed isn't everything, so looks like there maybe something in the CBT link to us 👍

sorry i got the fee wrong its 450K and medical on Monday apparently so this suggests they haven't given up on play offs at least and we have them twice soon so will be tricky games

The Posh chairman has also been interacting/answering Charlton fans regarding the fee etc etc that is apparently agreed which seems odd behaviour from a chairman

Yes true but he still won’t reach Mgraths level I think people are getting a tad carried away Cash is a good player but I seriously doubt he’ll play for a team as big as Man U and play as many top flight games PM did
