  1. Stating the obvious but away membership certainly doesn’t guarantee you a ticket at most away games. It just enhances your chances.
  2. Not really “watchable” but I’ve just finished watching The ex wife on Five. Must be one of the stupidest and unlikely endings I can imagine. I know you have to suspend a sense of reality sometimes when watching a TV drama but this one really went too far.
  3. We’ve not finished a season below where we are now but, as others have said, the season hasn’t ended yet. If you suspect this is the lowest we’ve ever been in the league then, according to Football.co.uk, during the 84/85 season we were sunk as low as 15th (after 16 games). We finished 7th that season. It remains to be seen where we’ll finish this time.
  4. Disappointing yes but hardly shocking. If our result was shocking I don’t know what that makes Charlton’s, Barnsley’s and Portsmouth’s.
  5. In the interview on this thread (at 47 seconds) he literally said we don’t come away with it feeling like a victory. If, in another interview, he did say a draw feels like a win, come on, surely he meant scoring two very late goals to grab a draw makes it feel like a win. I think that’s a very normal and common sensation and not an indication of his expectation. Same with their manager, if you’re 2:0 up on 88 minutes you’re bound to be disappointed not to have won even if you’ve been played off the park for those 88 minutes.
  6. I don’t think anyone in their wildest dreams is suggesting that the appointment of PW was universally welcomed. Some objected at the time, even more do so now. Their concerns, some of which you have listed, may well prove to be justified. Only time will tell and only DC will decide how long that time is.
  7. That is often code for I can’t tell you why. 😀. It’s not like you to not have a riposte.
  8. I think you make a good point but, a good point for starting one or more of them on Wednesday. They’ll be playing against an U21 team and not therefore seasoned professionals and the crowd is probably going to be easily the smallest of the season I reckon. It might be better to break them in gently in a game like this.
  9. Oh dear, this is hard work this morning. Let’s start again. Did I say people can’t comment on the game as per your first insinuation ? No I didn’t. Did I say people can only post comments on the game with which I agreed as per your second insinuation? No I didn’t. All I said is that regardless of the unimportance of the game and the likely changes PW will make, if we fail to win there will no doubt be some making the “PW must go after this” comments. It seems you have twisted, possibly for the sake of an argument, this fairly simple point I made to mean no one can be critical or disagree with me.
  10. True but, as I say, technically you could say it’s starting at pretty much every club. Whoever owns Derby, however it is run, whoever the manager is, whatever tactics are deployed on the pitch, there will always be some that are not happy. I don’t think DC needs to worry about a few comments on social media. A few such comments may look like a groundswell of unrest but, often (IMO) it’s not the case.
  11. Now you are being even more silly than ever. Read the thread. I don’t have a problem with people being posting comments on the game, tactics, team selection etc positive or negative (even though I may not agree with them all). All I said is, failure to win will prompt the usual “Warne has to go after this result” comments. We all want a great performance and good win on Wednesday night but the sensible amongst us also know that even if the football is dire and we fail to win, it isn’t the most important game of the week and whatever the result PW isn’t going to get sacked after it.
  12. Oh I agree on both counts (Brown starting and Saturday’s performance/result being the one that matters). I’m just saying there will no doubt be the usual suspects calling for PW’s head if we don’t win on Wednesday regardless of who he plays.
  13. Using that definition, you could probably say there is unrest at pretty much every club in country as there is bound to be at least one person unhappy with the current position/manager/playing style/squad of players. It’s only a concern when it becomes “widespread unrest” which, of course, is subjective and much more difficult to measure.
  14. I wouldn’t be surprised if we fail to beat Wolves U21’s on Wednesday and, despite the insignificance of the game and the maximum number of changes PW will no doubt make, there will still be the usual “PW has to go after this” calls from some.
  15. I guess the Luton keeper could have done the same given Liverpool had 24 shots but only six on target.
  16. Do you honestly think he would have been sacked even if the score had remained 2:0? There was zero chance of that happening I'd say. As @Mckram says, it would take an extended run of defeats in the league for Clowes to act in the short term rather than losing away in the FA Cup.
  17. A comment that's about as poor, predictable and unwelcome as some of our football.
  18. Credit to Crewe and of course Warne has to take his share of the blame but what has happened to the players? Even Bird looks a shadow of the player he was against Northampton.
