We all know hes a tight ducker but thats what Derby need right now after morris!
Christ if Ashley bought Derby and the stadium out right and steadied the ship, ran us sensibly and got us promotion! 5 years have us in the prem mid table, hed never have to buy himself a drink in Derby as long as he lives!
I mean i wouldnt mind Appleby either but leaning towards Ashley because hes got the money himself, hes done it before, he will probably look to selling us on in the future to make a profit in which case he would want to make us a premier league club thats not into much debt! Or he might fancy a hobby and the same end game, a sustainable premier league club!
The rumours about him running the stadium abd training ground down at newcastle maybe true but they cant have been that bad because the saudis thought it was a good buy! 
 
Beggers cant be choosers i get that, but if all the runours r true and there both interested and lining up bids, id have Ashley first, Appleby second! 
 
I get people who are owed money might get screwed and thats bad but the person to blame for that is mel morris! If i was buying the club id try and get the cheapest price possible, why would you not? Mel morris should settle the debt not the buyer but we all know what a ducker he is! Also i doubt Appleby will want to pay of the debts anymore than Ashley! These r business men who have made money because there ruthless and have stepped over people to get where they are! Dont blame the player, blame the game!
If were playing that game, which we are, id rather have the most ruthless, Ashley, because he wont want to make a loss! 
 
Footballs a business nowadays, like it or not! I hate the way it is, pricey tickets, pricey beer, cant even watch it without a pricey subscription, but thats what it is, thats the game now!

Newcastle fans will have expected to win the Premier League every year and be protesting if they're not. We expect to consolidate in League one first of all, eventually get promoted from League one and have a good stab again at promotion to the Premier League in time if we can get back to Champ level. Big difference IMV. Ashley seems a pretty competent guy to get us up the leagues given that is where he will make his money. I will be thankful to anyone who rescues the club at this point, GSE included, but I reckon Ashley will put the burners on a lot more quickly than GSE to get us up the leagues. Could be wrong, we'll see..

This is the important part of the article, definitely seems like he’s very serious if that’s legitimate - better than anything I expected!

But assuming none of the bidders will pay enough to avoid point deductions, my order of preference would be 
1. Ashley
2. Morgan
3. Appleby

When he went there he pumped in £100m (not the purchase price) and still The Newcastle fans didn't love him and his 'London posse'. Maybe like Mel he'd had enough and wanted out and stopped caring. But unlike Mel he didn't abandon them, if only to get his investment back. 
Poor Geordies left where they were found mid-table Prem! If you think whoever buys us will be happy with were we are now you need to give your a head a little wobble. ?

mike ashley is the only long term option, we need to stop chasing results and short term goals. players and managers will come and go.
we want the owner that will put us in the best position long term and thats ashley. 
we own the stadium, pay less to the creditors (even if it means -15, the CLUB is saving money) and he is showing with this process that hes not going to waste a penny of the clubs money. that is what we need whether people realise it or not. 

It needs sorting and quick! We are the only team outside of the conference who hasn’t submitted a retention list! 
It simply has to be resolved this week!

My strong preference is with MA, he has the money and there is absolutely no value to Derby County for him with us being a League One or Championship club so he is motivated for 2 promotions at the very least before turning the taps off.
Kirchner I have doubts full stop over whether his pockets are deep enough for this venture; that is not to say he can't pull the cash together to get the deal done but I worry that he is straining every sinew of his finances to just get himself over the line. He obviously can't afford the stadium and once he realises the reality of running a club i.e. lose vasts amount of money every month for the privilege of being roundly abused by fans, then he may get tired of the trainset and the inevitable waning publicity once the deal is done. MA has experience of being an owner so he knows the score already. And Newcastle fans are more demanding than Derby fans too.
Personally I'd rather a billionaire "skinflint" own us than an owner who turns out to be an emperor with no clothes once the tide rolls back. I also think the business like way he is approaching this, as much as some fans don't like it, is the reason why a) he is successful and b) he can trusted to prudently run the club. Every penny he shaves off is enough penny in the kitty to get the club back up to speed. He hasn't become that wealthy by blasé handing over cheques to admins for £3M who he doesn't rate, nor seemingly does anyone who has worked with them by the sounds of it.

it is crazy to me that kirchner is still even in the running. I do not want that many running this club, it will not end well. he has shown himself not only to be incompetent, but his silence is the worst part about it. 
if his funds really were being processed (i dont buy it) then say it, instead of getting the hump and not saying anything. i wouldn't mind if he didn't say anything in the first place, but was happy to have people lick his bum and when it goes bad he disappears. his ownership will be like that. i cant believe Q are still allowing him to be a bidder.
