I’ve been playing it on and off since about 1980 and this is the first straight fighter I’ve had. Always went for stealth before, occasionally with a bit of magic, usually something sneaky like shadow dancing. I say ‘straight’ fighter, but she’s a bit of a sand snake, a dancer and barbarian weapon master, specialising in poleaxe, trip and disarm.
I started playing at school because I fancied the DM. A group of about 15 of us would take over someone’s house for the weekend and play 48hr sessions surviving on tea, toast and fags. It was brilliant, total escapism, really engrossing. I can remember wondering what I needed to roll to get the bus back home.
These days it’s a bunch of long haired 50 and 60 somethings trying to recreate the magic with a few bottles of wine and a bucket of root vegetable crisps.

Anyone play Dungeons and Dragons? With dice and bits of paper and actual role playing?
Don't do computers but I’ve got a 9th level fighter I’m pretty attached to.

Used it for a week and sent it back,I just couldn't get used to using one,it drove me mad!
You should have persevered. When I switched from Android to iPhone I hated it for the first two or three weeks. Once I’d got used to it I realised it I realised it was so much easier and just did everything better.

Unlikely to go anywhere, this will be their thing to stand out from the rest.
Do you think so? I got the general impression it hadn’t been well received. Any feature which takes weeks to overcome your annoyance at is hardly a selling point.
I also thought I’d read somewhere that a cheaper, more conventional version with the same screen was in the pipeline, but I could be wrong.
I’d go for a 7 or 8 now if there wasn’t the same worry about coping with the software updates. Again, that seems like bad marketing, but they sell billions so what do I know.

Righto, thanks.

Bit of advice - I’ve got a 5s that’s just started to be a bit slower after updating to iOS 11.2.1. I’ve no particular need to upgrade it for what it does, but is it worth replacing the battery and will that fix the problems caused by the new software?

Lucky sod, no where serves a decent pint of pedi here in Dorset ?
Aren't Ringwood beers made by Marstons now? Fortyniner is a decent pint, but you definitely win on cider. Anywhere near the Square and Compass at Worth Matravers?

Currently drinking Pedigree in the Dead Poets. Still caught in the perpetual debate about who serves the best Pedi, here or the Holly Bush, but it tends to be whichever one I happen to have in front of me...

Just had several very pleasant pints of Burton Bridge Bitter in the Royal Oak at Wirksworth. The landlord is an old friend and he knows his stuff. It's their standard bitter now, so well worth a visit.
If £3.00 a pint is too much to pay it's also on in the Yew Tree at Cauldon Low for £2.80. You can sleep in the garden if necessary.

Any football team called United which is based in a city that has a second team.
Presumably you'd like to see them harmoniously integrated.

Can I identify as a helicopter then? The people on good morning Britain identified as an owl and fox respectively. I'll make a big deal now and send a petition to parliament, why aren't there any toilets for us helicopters?
Helicopter and elephant aren't really on the spectrum of gender identities which the human brain serves up.
You can have male, female, bit of both, somewhere in between or neither.
I believe Fox and Owl were merely names, not genders.

The people who claim there are more than 2 genders. There are males and females end of. 2 people appeared on good morning Britain the other day and got involved in a heated debate with piers Morgan. They identified themselves as "non binary" and identified themselves as a fox and an owl.
Biology actually recognises that gender is a spectrum, as does psychology and sociology. Putting people into binary categories is a social convention, generally imposed historically by Judeo-Christian culture. Other cultures, for example, Native Americans, have often recognised multiple genders.

My beer of the day is White Park's Cranfield Best. Three pints at lunchtime means I will breeze through the afternoon shopping.

Not my favourite, but the pick of the bunch in here.

I know a few people who still play Chill. Dabbled with Space Opera and Runequest back in the day and even devised my own system when I was DMing at Uni, but I’m too immersed in the world and rules of D&D to seriously consider anything else. I use the Forgotten Realms stuff, it’s pretty comprehensive.
