  1. Really, so drug taking, throwing stuff that could cause injury and vandalism is just letting off steam? There are signs all around the pride park about such behaviour, yet nothing is done home or away when it happens?
  2. Why are they not dealt with then? Grab them by the collar, ID them and remove their away memberships immediately, and ban them from pride park. Simple.
  3. Thats so true. Why, because of player wages being way too high. When will this silly bubble burst! I think the only way is to make rules that restrict the wage bill to a % turnover, and an immediate points deduction to any team who declare a trading loss. Then remove parachute payments and put relegation clauses in every player contract, so relegated players only get paid the going rate for the division they drop into.
  4. Unfortunately the EFL have sold their soul for Sky TV cash, in order to keep their heads above the water in the financial chaos of football. If the clubs stopped paying out the ridiculous levels of wages to players then this would not be necessary. 😞 Who do we complain about Sky TV for working to the contract the EFL have signed, or the clubs and the EFL for signing it? I'd suggest halving the EFL wage bill in every division would be a good start?
  5. I too will be renewing regardless of who the manager is or the division we are in. I can remember much worse football!
  6. Belated happy birthday, it made me smile when your name appeared on the big screen and the announcer commented that you were B4's sister 🙂
  7. Sounds like it could be an interesting role actually. Not easy to represent the entire fan base though, given the age and attitude differences across the spectrum of supporters. That said the remit is pretty clear enough, protecting the club from the sort of activities seen across numerous football clubs, such as rebranding, team colours, stadium sales to dubious concerns, sponsorships from companies that do not align with club values etc. So such items have to be approved by the SB. Good idea I think.
  8. Derby 3 Port Vale 0. FRGS Nelson. Strong bounce back.
  9. Wildsmith is out of contract at the end of the season isn't he? Wonder if he has a new contract lined up somewhere else. Could that be why he got dropped?
  10. I'd agree thats a bad place to be parking on the road, but Derwent Parade is no issue at all. I wonder what the "Safety issue" is? Sounds like jobsworth to me. Or maybe they are pushing towards paying for parking at the car parks to make more revenue?
  11. To close it without any sort of notice is pretty poor to be frank. Its all blue badge holders, including at lease one person who has a portable electric mobility scooter, which he uses for the short hop to the ground.
  12. I often park with my dad who is a blue badge holder near the ground on Derwent Parade next to TC Harrison. Alot of other blue badge holders also park there. Apparently it was coned off both sides of the road for the last home match. Does anybody know if that's going to be the case tonight? Its very convenient for the less mobile for sure.
  13. I'll certainly be renewing UTR! 🙂
  14. I think modest and targeted improvements spread across the rail network would make a big difference. One extra carriage on a four carriage train for example. Increase train frequency at busy times. Improve station infrastructure, but many stations are a lot better nowadays, particularly the bigger ones. I think the rail system is better now than it was in the 1970s, but the profits should be retained and reinvested, government should avoid dabbling, set the business targets, including employing plenty of apprentices, and unions need to stop holding politically motivated strikes. Both sides need to come together, but the result cannot be equivalent to another British Rail 1970s style (Job for life/jobs for the boys etc.)
  15. With clubs losing money week in week out, maybe its time to make a simple EFL rule. If a trading loss is declared (ie cash in v cash out) then its an immediate points deduction and business plan imposed. Also at EFL level and premier league level and immediate salary cap, removal of parachute payments and all contracts to have relegation clauses identifying lower wage levels until the end of the contract if relegated to championship or lower.
  16. I find the atmosphere in the north stand to be fine. When the game is hotting up many are cheering and clapping and generally getting behind the team. Maybe not much singing, but a good atmosphere none the less.
  17. Sonny Bradley as a centre forward. What a battering ram he would be!
  18. I'd like to see a new contract for Thommo, Wildsmith and maybe Sibley. Then sign Adams, and extend Barks. How about another try for Alfie May? Does depend what division we are in of course.
  19. Hurrah! I think the admins need to take a bit of a grip as the forum is being ruined by a minority.
