  1. Currently away and just catching up, so apologies for replying to a post days old. I also post this as someone that dislikes what Elon Musk has done to the platform. What you have said isn't quite true. You can default your feed to people you follow, if I was to follow 100 circus accounts, I would see every tweet they make regardless of blue tick status. When Elon talks of blue tick content boosted, that's both the algorithm based For You feed and blue ticks are boosted in all replies. So my feed of the 100 Circus accounts is not affected, however if I open one of those circus tweets and it has 500 replies, all those with blue ticks will be shown above none blue tick accounts. What he has done is not ruin your feed, but the discussions they can create as OnlyFans "personalities", parody accounts and such like that will pay for the attention to boost their profiles are seen more. He's destroyed the platform with the nonsensical changes above, not so much allowing the nutters like Katie Hopkins back on that you can easily avoid with both account blocking and muting keywords. What I hate the most is, that Derby County, the club I love are paying X over a grand a month for a little gold tick badge. For what exactly? Where is the value for money in that, imagine if the club say turned round and refused to pay it, choosing to donate that money monthly to local based charities. How many lives could that potentially change, it's just insane to me that the club feel the need to pay that kind of money for zero benefit. Even BBC East Midlands are paying it then affiliating BBC Radio Derby Sport with a gold badge. A grand a month wouldn't save the job losses, although I'm sure over £12k a year could go someway to improving their broadcasting. This is money to a guy that bought Twitter through a court purchase order after making a spontaneous ill thought out offer to buy the company. The same bloke that's chucking rockets up in the air and talking about populating Mars, which if he somehow managed to crack in our life time would be some bizarre world that would see kids named like Star Wars characters and one super company that rules the entire planet. The guys a fruit loop.

    Nigel Clough

Never change Nigel. Just never come back 😂 https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/67432224
  3. I'm sure there will be in due course, @angieram is in contact with his Dad, however they just need to grieve right now.
  4. Have you heard about Tampax? They've released a new tampon, with tinsel instead of string. Just in time for the holiday period.
  5. What I can do is create a graphic that can be shared across social media. I will recover the dcfcfans Twitter/X account to share it on and hopefully spread the word. Once created I will upload into this topic so you all can share on your own accounts. I can also create a notice for the top of the forum for the minutes applause. As for the big screen, I think that's one for the SLO, I personally have no contact details for anyone at the club under this new ownership. With you being on the SCG with RamsTrust, might be worth dropping them a message through that. If I can do anything more, let me know.
  6. Just a couple of things to keep B4 in our memories on DCFC Fans. First is the topic title following the news of David Clowes takeover. With so many sayings, it was difficult to choose from, however this and the post itself means so much more. Especially the line about his Mum, football was not just a game to B4, it was life and death. @Mucker1884's words were utterly brilliant and a fitting tribute. They have been published on their own page which will always remain on the main menu. https://dcfcfans.uk/b4ev6is/ Needless to say, this topic will also remain pinned for the lifetime of this forum. @B4ev6is you are a DCFC Fans legend that will never be forgotten. x
  7. First and foremost, my thoughts are with Daniel's friends and family, I cannot imagine what they are going through right now. I heard the news last night and it came as a huge shock, B4 as we knew him so fondly by will be a huge loss to the forum. He was Mr Positivity, Derby County's biggest cheerleader, even during the bad times his positivity would shine through. I know his Dad was at the game today with a scarf on his seat, whilst we haven't closed the gap on Portsmouth in Daniel's final rallying call on this forum, I'm sure he will be over the moon with the 3 goals and 3 points today. DCFC Fans will be honouring Daniel in time to ensure he remains in our memories, we will also be contacting the club in due course to see what can be done during a game. Suggestions are welcomed as we all come to terms with the loss. Rest in peace Daniel. ❤️🐏
  8. Proper wrong'un, branston pickle yeah, but jam? 😩
  9. This is terrible. What are we meant to complain about tonight, even Collins has a brace, I mean come on, not giving us much to go on are they?
  10. What's the xS (expected signing) though? That's what I want to know
  11. How many years until humans are replaced with AI on VAR? You know it will happen, it's a matter of when not if.
  12. This isn't quite the same though is it. His trial was under a different owner, manager, coaches, academy staff the lot. If we did go on to sign him now, spending the money would be of no fault of the current owner or staff.
  13. They are thick. Simple as that.
  14. I want to know how you know his GCSE results, seems too daft to make up, so must be true yet....how? 😂
  15. Looks like you're trying take offence on behalf of the players without even knowing what's going on in there head. Without knowing Bird or McGoldrick personally, you are making some wild assumptions and connecting dots to suit this narrative where Paul Warne is this useless turnip that couldn't manage a piss up in a brewery. The Bird one is ridiculous, The McGoldrick one.....well he scored an awful lot of goals for someone that didn't like the manager. Yeah he left for Notts County, the club where he started his career at and spoke about wanting to finish his career there. Using him as a stick to beat Warne with, you're basically calling him a liar for his motivations in moving to Notts County. Which makes you no better than Warne and this accusation of fake injuries. The last line in your post is spot on though. "The best managers know how to use the microphone to motivate their men" Absolutely. Every player is different, some need criticism to start that fire in their belly, others need a cuddle and words of affirmation. I couldn't sit here and tell you what any of the players need, 1) I have never managed a team of footballers and 2) I don't know any of the players personally. I would imagine that would apply to most on here as well. It's ok to not like Warne's football, his tactics, the way he talks, the way he walks and the bobble hats, but come on, all this is scraping the barrel of hate for a guy based on....well nothing really.
  16. If we keep this topic going, we're only a page or two away from accusing Paul Warne of the JFK assassination, creating Covid and responsible for the price increase of Freddo bars.
  17. Sounds good. Problem is, I either a) Go by myself, which means using a train for both games which is around £30 a pop, plus potentially hotel for tonight depending when the last train is. or b) Bring the Mrs and a 2 and 3 year old, add the petrol money, bribes to get them to sit and watch the game the game without getting bored. or finally c) Just enjoy the 3 pints with the game on my phone?
