I think this statement has caused some debate. I hope we don't get more "spewing bile" type statements (not from your good self I hasten to add), but I believe that the majority of those signings have NOT improved us overall. I think Nelson, nyambe yes. Wilson on the cusp. Ward, elder, Bradley, fornah, Washington, waghorn, TJJ no.,.. either through injury or ability. Therefore, my head then says that if we can only afford a couple, the odds aren't great. Just my view and obviously for debate.

Funnily enough, the pubs round here (Winchester/Southampton) usually offer mushy peas with their fish and chips. Apart from the pretentious places that do "cracked" peas. Which look like some frozen petit pois mushed up with a fork....🙄

Same thing happened to me in middlesbrough. When I asked if they could do a chips with mushy peas and gravy got sorted straight away....🙄

As well as ins, any of our up and coming juniors up for loans out, or are they all injured? Appreciate it's irrelevant for this year's promotion push, but we've got to get some sort of pathways going for these players or we won't get any return from the academy.

I may be being harsh, but neither Bradley or Nelson are spring chickens. Bradley in particular seems to struggle in a 3. But he's a seasoned defender so if he can't organize a 4, what use is he?

That's fair enough, thanks. And feels similar to statements made last summer, which I remember were made after some earlier stuff about how attractive Derby were for many players and how easy it was to get "players" but not the "right characters".

I think we're all violently agreeing that there is no basis for making the comment the pw is forced to make "bargain basement" signings.
