Derby v Shrewsbury Town - Match Day Thread
DerbyAleMan replied to Heisenberg's topic in Derby County Forum
I would actually have Wilson on the bench instead of Tommo, and if NML is not fit then play Wilson. -
After the win at Charlton and going 2nd, B4 would have been over the moon, really hope we can go up for B4, in the name of B4. Once A Ram Always A Ram.

I would go back to 433, formation, if Mendez is fit i would go. Vickers Nyambe Nelson. Cashin. Elder Adams Bird. Hourihane NML. Collins. CBT. Subs. Wildsmith, Bradley, Ward, Sibbo, Smith, Barks. And Tommo. -
I thought he was outstanding today alongsude Nelson and Cashin, it looked a solid back 3, well done to all 3.

Happy with the 3 points the 3 at the back where solid, and Adams looks a good addition to the starting 11, hope NML and CBT are both fit for next week, and 2nd as well, a great saturday, going to celebrate with a curry and a few Whiskys. -
I will say it again COLLIN IS OUR NUMBER 9 AND HAVING A GOOD SEASON, BORE OFF. PENALTIES ARE GOALS.
-
Absolute rubbish. Collins would be a massive miss, as he is our only fit forward, and scoring goals, and works his arse off. For me Nelson , Nyambe, Cashin, NML and Collins have been our best players so far this season.

Eiran Cashin - new contract to 2027
DerbyAleMan replied to Animal is a Ram's topic in Derby County Forum
Really pleased with this, pleased Cashin has signed, our best young player in my book since William Hughes, and it keeps together the best defensive pairing in Division one, Nelson and Cashin will be massive this year and next which ever division we are in. -
Because of what Morris did to us, and due to our business plan with the EFL, we are still in the dark days, Morris nearly took Derby out of business for f**** sake, Clowne our hero has just spent 32 million pound on saving us, it will take time, and after all our restrictions, to be challenging for top 2 is not as bad as some make out, support our great club, get behind the owner who spent millions on saving us, after what the snake Morris put us through, back the players and management who are doing everything they can, to get us out of this mess. Once A Ram Always A Ram.

Like most of our January windows, last season was worst. Still hoping for a new number 9, then it will be ok.

Where do you think we'll finish this season?
DerbyAleMan replied to IslandExile's topic in Derby County Forum
I will go into the last 17 games with a positive attitude, loads to play for, no outstanding team in the division, I will go to every match backing the team, and i believe we will just miss out on top spot, and finish 2nd.. Once A Ram Always A Ram -
Yes agree, but when Mr Cix took us up we had some very poor games i was there mate, and the season after in the old second division we smashed it, some great away days as a 15 year old as well like Stoke away, Oldham away and the best of the lot sheffield United away with 10000 Rams fans, great times indeed.
-
Only Jim got us promoted though.
-
Agree second half Max Bird was much better, and what a goal, lets get behind the team, and support them, all this negative is no good for players , managers and fans, we all want the same thing promotion, so lets drive the team on to the championship. Once A Ram Always A Ram.
-
A absolute belter of a goal today. Gives his all every game, and has had a decent season, needs help though, because at the moment he is our only fit forward, really hope we can get another forward in to help Collins out.

Great to give Curtis Davis a great send off, a true Ram, and the standing ovation he received was more than deserved. Once A Ram Always A Ram.

U should not boo your own team, when the opposition score, if you think thats ok, your better to stay away. -

Just got in from the match. Glad we got the 3 points, 2 cracking goals, and 1 point behind second place, poor 1st half awful watch, but to hear so called fans boo when Cheltenham score was a disgrace, to do that in the game was a absolute joke, those that boo after Cheltenham score should stay away, and be embarrassed by such behaviour, please stay away, u make it harder for the team to perform with that attitude. And it was great to give Curtis Davis a great reception after the game a true Ram. -
Hope I am wrong but looking less and less likely Smith will be joining, don't think Wednesday will budge on the deal, and looks like we don't have the funds/restrictions in place, to up our offer. Hope we have a good alternative as we deffo need another number 9 option. Fingers cross we get one over the line, in time.

Massive game now, need to get on the front foot straight away, need NML and CBT to rip them a new one down the flanks, and need Collins to be on fire, I believe we will bounce back, and win 3-0, and us fans need to stay with them, 3 points and we are back on track, 18 games left to play, lets make it a season to remember for all the right reasons. Once A Ram Always A Ram. -
Lets put it this way what Morris did has financially f***** us up for years to come, we have not got a pot to piss in, thanks to that snake called Mel Morris. Hope the b****** goes bankrupt one day. He nearly ruined our famous club Derby County formed in 1884. Thank god Clowes saved this great club. Once A Ram Always A Ram

Disappointing tonight, but we need to move on, as a team and a fan base, and get behind them on saturday, as the team needs us behind them, need a number 9 now ASAP, as Collins can't do it all on his own, also need some players to stand up and be counted, not good enough tonight 0 shots on target but 18 games left, and plenty of twists and turns yet, need to steady the ship and get 3 points on saturday. Gutted for JJ, that could be the last ball he kicks for Derby.

Positive news going into the game after the signing of CBT, imagine he will start on the bench and come on between the 60th and 70th minute, fancy of us to be top by 22.10 tomorrow night, after another hard earned away win, the news of CBT arriving will be a good boost to fans and players, glad it's all done, now lets get the 3 points tomorrow night.

Not at our best today, but a solid point away and we move on. Thought Nelson was very good again, also thought Vickers played well, and Kane also did well, with a few new additions to come, I am still a very positive Ram.
