Leicester Ram
Just been doing some Maths. Sold Shackell- 1.1 million Maguire- 250K Addison- 150K (?) Still owed 300K for Varney Total= 1.8 million Bought Jacobs- 450K Coutts- 150K Total (total from above minus the above)= 1.2 million Selling Davies- 1 million (apparently, but more likely 750K) Bailey- 150/250K Total= 2.1 million upwards Possible signings Keogh- 500K-900K (assuming we bump off competition) LB- up to 300K (more if you like) which leaves about (assuming all our signings go to plan) 800K upwards to spend on E.G a striker, or to save for January (which I recommend we do, as we could pick a player who looks the dog's ****** from a lower championship/League 1/even maybe league 2 side, as other clubs did last season E.G Vaz Te) WARNING- this is all speculation (a nice word for bullshit)

jagerbob
You cant put a fee on Davies and Bailey whilst they are still here! Regardless of what Savies puts on twitter, if no club puts a decent bid in, then he will be here till january at least. Whereby we go again and decide whether a small bid is better than letting him go for free. He may well be with us all season. Also fees only tell a certain story, its as much about annual wages as it is small transfer fees.
Woodys woman
I can't see that we will spend what we bring in. There's pressure on the manager to deliver if he spends real money on a player (e.g. £500,000 plus), I think we will continue to spend less and gamble on signings paying off
CornwallRam
The money still owed for Varney is probably already accounted for - maybe even still owed to Barnsley for Shackell. Apparently most transfers are paid in instalments, so clubs balance incoming instalments against outgoing ones.
nfb
All this talk about how much money we may or may not have, along with links to whom we might possibly buy… I'm beginning to think that like last season when we were told about a proper striker etc, I am beginning to think that with 4 weeks left before our 1st match, they have cocked it up again, selling shackell (for not enough) and then missing their targets, who I believe were Joel lynch, and Kevin Mellor, so NC is is scratching around desperately for anyone, hence the Sunderland lad,or the Scots lad who don't inspire. Again I fear the worst for this season, counting chickens before they are hatched again nige … learn the lesson, a bird in the hand (especially one of your best signings to date) is better than 2 in a rush ! Stedcfc
I think you can pretty much ignore wages as the people who have gone more than cover anyone who has come in. Greens wages probably cover jacobs and Coutts on their own. I'd only really include a cost on wages if I thought a player was on considerably more than who they replaced. I'd say we are sitting on 900k upwards (I say upwards as he could of gone for more than 1.1m) from the Shackell deal looking at whats been spent, and theres room in the wages budget for 2-3 more players. Don't forget Leacock, Croft, Bywater and Pearson have all gone of the wage bill fairly recently too.

Sorry to pee on your chips, but we did not cover wages last season, we lost, according to the Yanks, £ 7,000,
