Srg
I did a little poopy on the way to work, massive flash and bang while I was driving. Seemed like it was right infront of me.
Badlands
Felt like the world was ending about 1am here in Northants, constant stream of lightning for around 30 minutes but no rain. 2nd storm around 5am finally with some rain but it's bone dry now. Unbelievably muggy right now and distant rumbles of thunder.

The safest place to be in a thunderstorm is inside a car. It's basically a mobile Faraday cage.

eddie
Two houses struck by lightning in Donington last night and set on fire, both just up the road from us (within 100 yards). Another one in Diseworth. Severe damage but nobody hurt.
