I have always liked him, looked very good every time he has played against us, and is a winger wouldn't be on big wages... I doubt anyone will come in, but for me would be a good signing even if its short term looking to a long term deal! It is a fine line between investing sensibly and stagnating. I believe that the club has been turned around in the past few years and one day people might acknowledge the work done by Clough, Brown and Burley - (Jewell-not so much) It is time to invest now. Rather than trotting out the same few names - billy sharp in particular, lets look at spending a reasonable some of money - two to three million, this would be enough to boost a squad that already has excellent morale and is punching above its weight. Lets get Noble, Tonge, Wellens and an exciting bueno type player. Say goodbye to Cywka, Green and Leacock. That would be a real step in the right direction. I disagree... people on this forum barely watch football outside of Derby, so the only reason they know Sharp is a good player is due to his statistics... correct? I think (some) people have come to the conclusion that we can't judge players straight off because we haven't seen them play enough to make a judgment, this suggestion thread is mainly players with good stats, or in my case players who used to have good stats being made available and players I have seen play well against us (like Cotterill) I'll be honest in the past Billy Sharp has been quite poor against Derby IMO.
