ladyram
Thought I'd mention that Robbie's Dad is sadly in a coma in hospital. As you're all probably aware, Mr Savage Snr suffers from Alzheimers. My thought's go to Robbie and his family today at this difficult time 'http://www.dcfcfans.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':(' /> [url=http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/robbie-savage-dashes-to-fathers-side-757085]http://www.mirror.co...ers-side-757085

ladyram
Not much to add except that I'm glad Robbie was able to release his book whilst his dad was alive. Best wishes to Robbie and his mum. Yes, he did and that would have been good for his dad. I'm sure the family will take comfort from the fact that they had the chance to say goodbye and prepare themselves (if such a thing is possible and you get what I mean). It will still have been a shock though but as Robbie says in his tweets, he's not suffering anymore, so it's a blessing. Alzheimers is one of the cruelest diseases to suffer from and whatever people may think of Sav, good for him for doing all he can to raise money and awareness in a bid to help others. Donny Ram
It's devastating losing a parent especially when they are comparatively young. In Robbies case he's lost his best friend and his hero as well, our deepest sympathy, thoughts and prayers from here in Doncaster are with the Savage family. RamOfKansas
My great grandma was quite the sharp wit up into her upper 90's, then Alzheimers took hold. To be honest, I'd rather she had gone sooner than she did. No way to live, that is. She made sure no one ever felt sorry for her in life, it should've stayed that way. Terrible, terrible disease. My thoughts and prayers with the family.
