February 16, 201213 yr Lack of chances being created, lack of funds but we have Maguire playing pub teams who we chased all summer and cost 400k Mix it up, give the guy a real chance
February 16, 201213 yr For club our size it is vital that we can get players from our academy to playing squad and we are doing quite nicely at the moment. What worries me is the part of the interview when NC says that if you don't have anyone else...
February 16, 201213 yr That's what I thought Cisse - so reading between the lines then there's no chance of getting anyone else, only loans?

February 16, 201213 yr Oh dear, it looks like we are a very, very long term project. As I'm an old git in my fiftied, I think there will have to be an after life before I see us where we should be. 'http://www.dcfcfans.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':(' />
February 16, 201213 yr So we are not trying to follow teams like Stoke... More like teams like Crewe. 'http://www.dcfcfans.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':(' />

February 16, 201213 yr 3-5 years should do it if the Yanks don't mess up. I don't think the players that will take us into the Premier League have actually been born yet.
February 16, 201213 yr I don't think the players that will take us into the Premier League have actually been born yet. You pessimist you.
February 16, 201213 yr I thought that this had been made clear a long time ago? Looks like Ipswich don't agree that this is the way forward for them! [url=http://www.ipswich.vitalfootball.co.uk/article.asp?a=273048]http://www.ipswich.vitalfootball.co.uk/article.asp?a=273048

February 17, 201213 yr selling to developers seems a little OTT! Letting those young lads go that are internationals in their age group is a little odd. I know that a lot of kids that show promise don't make it but you would think that they are showing enough promise to warrant a 1 year deal

Maybe they think that know they have a few quid they don't need to raise their own talent. Very short sighted in my book- even if things are rosy now it doesn't mean that they are going to stay that way. Most clubs are increasingly looking to bring their own players through due to increasing financial constraints also.

Personally I think it is down to Marcus Evans wanting to make more money for his property development company, he is allowed to do that of course but Ipswich fans probaly aren't best pleased.
February 17, 201213 yr good! If they aren't happy now, wait until it actually sinks in how poor a manager o Paul really is.
February 17, 201213 yr we should just get crap Pl players on loan for 6 months too! Im thinking Micheal Owen on loan maybe? Morten gamst pederson!
February 17, 201213 yr As i said in this post, [url= he said it earlier this year when we finnished with 3 kids on the park. My point in that quote was i wish Glick would come out and say what the strategy is so we could all understand it and get behind it, instead of us all speculating and some bleating..... and with FFP it may be a good strategy long term ?
