rsmini
After Theos little miss for his hat trick we got chatting last night a work... Which striker scored the last hat trick in the league for Derby. Its not Paul Simpson as we had him as a wide player not a centre forward. Its caused much searching of the grey matter. Struggled to find anything on Google and Wiki and I have asked the same question on facebook and Twitter. After many replies we seem to have got it down to this: "Here is what I have so far. Marco Gabbiadini v Tranmere 4-0. Bobby Davison v Doncaster 84/85 and possibly Andy Garner" I was starting to think it was Roger Davies against Luton when he scored 5 To be honest it is quite scary at our lack of league hat tricks. Nathan Ellington, Lupoli and Tito Villa were all in the cups Does any one have any ideas who it might have been as we are well stuck This is the Paul Simpson hat trick: [url=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mvQMhY0RZyc]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mvQMhY0RZyc

PrivateDerby
What us fans would do for a young Dean Sturridge now eh?! I think Roger and Bloomfield spent about 5 mins discussing Derby hat-tricks on Radio Derby this Saturday just gone mate, I cant remember what they said though sorry! Might be worth asking Colin on Tvvatter.
rsmini
Not dissagreeing with you but we have Simmo down as a regular wide player. we seem to be going for Marco Gabbiadini in the 4-0 win against Tranmere January 1994 Just had a tweet saying Paul Williams got 2 hat tricks!! never knew that

rsmini
LOL you could be right!! 'http://www.dcfcfans.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' /> it certainly created a debate at work and on twitter earlier. We were just curious really. Simmo played as as a forward a few time but if I remember right that was not his true position. But of course if he played in the forward line then of course the last strikers hat trick would be his. But an out and out striker could be Marco. Definatly clutching at straws 'http://www.dcfcfans.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />
trekkie_ram
I was talking about this at Peterborough, definitely Paul Simpson, shove the winger argument up your butt. For the record, Lupoli, Villa & Ellington all got cup hat-tricks for us. Burley nearly got a hat-trick of penalties in the 4-4 against Bradford in the Prem', scoring 2 and missing 1. Hucknall Ram
Should of been Malcom Christie against Man utd, remember his 3 rd was ruled out for "kicking the ball out" of Bartez hands
CumbrianRam
Should have been Theo Robinson, Saturday 5 November 2011. That's life I suppose.
Ghost of Clough
And how many players have scored hat-tricks against us in that time? I'd guess at about 30.

Ghost of Clough
Simeon Jackson last year Chopra in 2009 Adebayor twice lampard (scored 4 in one game?) and benjani all in 2007/8? I know Heskey scored a hat-trick, and I bet Kevin Phillips has Didn't Cureton score one at the start of our promotion winning season?
CumbrianRam
Dean Windass scored a hatrrick for Bradford in the 4-4 game in 2000. Kevin Phillips scored a hattrick for Sunderland in a 0-5 loss in 1999 at PP! Even feckin Barry Hayles did for Millwall in the 04/05 season! There will be more (probably)
Ghost of Clough
Ravanelli? Some time around 1996 I think, and Zola the season after, Yorke in 2000 and Hulse in 2004. I can't think of any others at the moment.
