Because the club has employees who concentrate of the business side of the club; aren't involved in the playing side and they will be the ones working on this? Just a guess.

Or maybe Tom will have Clough devoting his time to it? He does make mistakes as you say.

Just giving my view, I believe that diversing into areas that are not your core of the business could cause problems in the long run, I have seen many companys fail by doing this, and IMO this will cost money in the short term from DCFC, be it extra employees or as you say moving the current employees onto a new project.

I dont like what GSE bring to the table, in my view Derby are the forefront of their website, and to me its in their best interest that first of all the investors are happy, and to do this they need a ROI, and secondly for their business to thrive, they need to be involved with Derby as this is the mainstay of what they are about, the club getting sold would do them no favours at all.

I dont see what they do, that someone who is willing to invest time and money into the club dont.

Dont mean Im right though 'http://www.dcfcfans.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

To me that's the most important part of your post. To have owners that aren't outright f'king up your club seems to be a rarity these days. If I'm totally honest, when the ownership of the club next changes I'll be feeling very wary, as although very conserative, the current owners at least seem to be treating the club with respect.

Oh, I thought this was a forum to discuss things like that, I remember that the next time I ever question anything to do with Derby, I presume you do this every time ? 'http://www.dcfcfans.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

We can only speculate though can't we Leeds? A few people from here have been known to contact Mr Glick and have him tell them what's what.

Very true, however there are a lot of clubs that are also doing it right, it depends if you want to stand out from the crowd, or be one of the crowd.

For me, I would rather take a gamble with someone who can take this club forward, yes it may be a gamble, but sometimes that is worth the risk.

Worth doing a Plymouth/Luton?

Well I can list countless loan players who have been quite frankly rubbish Sunu, Currie, Hunt, Jones, Noble, Hines, Livermore, Vaughan, Hughes, Vidal, Martin, Ellington (£2 million loan fee!), Kaz, Pereplotkins, Eustace and that is only in the past 3 /4 seasons.

I thought Livermore and Kaz were quite good.

Just saying.

You was asking specific questions about the cost of developing the Plaza and whether it would come from revenue that could be used on the team.

If someone on here knows the answer than fair do's.

If you email Glick he will at least give you the official line on it then we could discuss whether we believe him or not. 'http://www.dcfcfans.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

Entirely my point though, 95% of this forum is speculation and opinion, are we to email the revelant person every time we question something that is happening at the club or is this a place for open disscussion around these points ?

Not every time, no, but if you want the answer to something specific that us minions don't know, then yes. 'http://www.dcfcfans.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' /> Then there's more discussion on here about what Mr Glick's said.

QPR, Southampton, Chelsea, Sunderland for example, all done better off the top of my head after new owners came in.

We could go on for ever, for every sucess story there is a failure, as I said for me it would be worth the gamble.

I wouldnt have said you were a minion, far from it 'http://www.dcfcfans.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

I was responding to a question being asked to me, and giving my view back to the, I could have emailed Glick first and awaited for the answer to my question or I could have not answered at all, I should have taken the second option I think !

Or we could read the DET article...

The club is understood to be looking at options to fund the project but no money will be diverted away from spending on the pitch.

Unless we think they mean the PITCH literally. 'http://www.dcfcfans.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

Glick has gone on record saying that he has made mistakes, and hence the reason we needed a DOF, now as we have not got one off these and it no longer appears to be on the agenda, who is now looking after our transfer activity going forward ?

My point being is that, the bead and butter of your business ie the football side, should always come first, unless he has a plan that means his or others time is not detracted from this, then its no problem. However adding a time consuming project to the agenda is going to detract from the footballing side of the business, how can it not ?

Unless I am very much mistaken, I have not in this post reffered to anything about revenue that is to be used on the team, please correct me if Im wrong 'http://www.dcfcfans.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/blink' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

Eustace is not as good a player as Hendrick or Bryson so to spend that sort of money would be a waste. If we were to spend that sort of money and with our club still loss-making I would be surprised if we would (unless we sell), we would surely want a player who has more than what we have and improve the team.

I thought Eustace was Watford's best player at their play earlier this season. He controlled the first half and always looked dangerous. He didn't seem to have the same impact 2nd half, but we did improve and, of course, Hendrick came on. He would be a decent addition to the squad I think, but probably not worth paying much money for him as he's not gonna be around for ever. Think we've done well spending money on players who have already shown themselves to be good and have still got years left, like Barker and Shackell.

Even if the money is taken away from the team, does it matter?

I'd rather spend £7m on something which will benefit the club for decades to come than the same amount of money on one player who'll give us 3 years of pleasure.

#justsaying.
