dcfcdavecov
I think Waghorn might lack a little presence to go through the middle on his own but maybe Nige is planning on going all Barcelona on us and play with 3 shorties up top constantly interchanging positions. David Silva & Pedro barely reach 5"10 and Messi is a midget a'la Ward. Food for thought??? Of course i jest, Messi isn't half the player Ward is Good shout, Barce only have 3 players over 6 foot that started the Champions League Final.....that's what me mate told me anyway
ramsbottom
Good shout, Barce only have 3 players over 6 foot that started the Champions League Final.....that's what me mate told me anyway If Nige got us playing to 10% of what Barca can we'd p**s the league. Saying that he got close last year for 6 weeks... I wonder when our purple patch will be this year??? Baggsie April!!!
WorksopRam
Still think I prefer 4-2-3-1, more dynamic, but a change between the two would be ideal. Fielding Brayford Barker Shackell Roberts Bailey Eustace/Bryson Waghorn Maguire/Bryson Ward Tyson
Luke
I think it will probably be a 4-3-3, but the 3 in the midfield could be 2 deep and 1 going forward depending on who is playing. Similar to Leicester, with Abe & Wellens holding and King allowed to go forward - Bailey & Eustace holding, and Bryson able to go forward.

Asanovic
Certainly did France well when they won the world cup. I'm guessing that's as sarcastic as my comment.
drnobby
I reckon it'll be a 433, looking at the way we played towards the end of last season and the players we have signed Fielding Brayford Barker ?(Shackell if signed) Roberts (subs - Leacock, Anderson, Addison, O'Brien) Bryson Bailey Pearson (subs - Pearson when Green fit! Hendrick, B Davies) Maguire S Davies Tyson (subs - Doyle, Cywka, Ward, Ball, Robinson) Looking pretty good to me but a real lack of LB/DM cover - Maybe Clough has some loans in the pipeline as it seems illogical to be pursuing other Strikers with that lack of cover at the back - bearing in mind our poor defensive record last year

Conor Doyle looked good for US, so keep him for the future. Roberts got better as season went on then got injured again , so keep.. You would keep Martin what about Croft? I think both are forgotten men.

sage
I can't make my mind up whether we are going for 4-2-3-1 or 4-3-3. Maybe we will use both during this season. Horses for courses and all that.
Rodders
Glick says looking to attack so why not 4-1-3-2 ? Bayford-Barker-Shackell-Roberts Bailey Bryson - Green - Pearson Maguire - Tyson

Bayford-Barker-Shackell-Roberts Bailey Bryson - Green - Pearson Maguire - Tyson I don't think Bailey would be good enough on his own. And that team is awful. Green's injured and Pearson is dire. No Ward and Cywka?!
trekkie_ram
Nearly all of us agree with: ---------------------------- Fielding -------------------------- Brayford ---- Shackell ---- Barker ---- New LB pls Then we have numerous options, and I'm happy with the 4-2-3-1 ---------------- Bailey ------------ Bryson ---------------- (I'm certainly keen on us adding a more experienced man here - ie: Eustace The '3' can comprise of any of the following: Cywka, Ward, S & B Davies, Green, Maguire, Robinson & others The '1' is obviously likely to be Tyson, but numerous players from the last list can play here. Rampant Rob
Fielding Brayford----Barker----Shackell-----Roberts Bryson------Bailey Maguire---Waghorn---Ward Tyson Would be happy with that side. With Doyle, Ball, S and B Davies, Robinson & Cywka. The attacking positions looking solid. As others have said we need more cover in the left back slot. Would also like to see Eustace in to cover the 2 DM positions.
RamNut
why do people suddenly rate Eustace ? I don't remember much enthusiasm for him when he was here. what happened to all that enthusiasm for Tonge? why the sudden belief that Goofy is the answer up front? why Waghorn and where? what about Bueno? no-one wants the free kick maestro then? what about Cywka??
