It can become an addiction, like fags and booze. If it's a one off it's not a problem and you could walk away better off and that's a bonus for anyone. It's when you lose and try and recoup your losses time and time again it becomes a problem. There's only ever 1 winner and that's the unscrupulous bookie who will bleed you dry. Stay safe campers. I wouldnt say i used to be addicted, think that word is over used. I did however used to lose a lot of money and gamble at stupid thing, roulette, blackjack etc. Luckily, i done this at the ages of 15-17 and realised how thick you have to be to gamble that these things. I think the stat is that only 2% of gamblers win, very, very difficult to win at gambling and it takes a lot of hard work. The only way you'll win is to find value. My dream is to bet for a living. There was £15000 on the table so I thought it wise to bring a bit of muscle with me. Managed to win the bet. The snooker worlds is the biggest event on the gambling calendar for me. There are some great odds flying around and it's usually quite easy to make a few quid here and there. Ambitious Posted April 18, 2011 Share Posted April 18, 2011 I put 1,120 pound on an in game bet once, never again... although I won it killed me, since that is a lot of money to me! however it was on mexican football and a team was 2-0 up with 8 minutes to go, I managed to earn myself over 100 pound though..
