it depends how much money you've got.....

I struggle to justify spending £30-£36 per ticket at the moment....and i do hate queuing 20 minutes for a wobbly short measure of watery lager or slipping around on p1ss in toilets.

Actually I take that back.....in recent weeks thats been the highlight.

Premier League season was brilliant full stop. Worst season for football but think there was always a bit of hope and the fans never gave up.

Was that our first away goal that season? Remember one of the lads said if we scored that day he would shave all of his hair off!

Carried on celebrating our goal long into the following morning, whilst watching Ricky Hatton lose to Mayweather. Funny how some things like this stick in your mind!

One of the craziest celebrations following Derby i've been a part of was when we scored away at Chelsea that season. How many away goals did we score that season? 5, 6?

To be quite honest being a long distance fan is probably a lot easier than being a close distance fan at the moment.

I have been a season ticket holder for close on 25 years and can tell you it is hard finding the motivation to even attend matches at this moment in time.

I'll second that. It is almost a chore at times. :frown:

If there was a like button on this forum I would have clicked it for this superb post. :D

I just go for an afternoon out with my lad.

Don't usually buy anything when I'm there because it's crap and way overpriced.

I don't take it too seriously either. If we win, great, if not I'm disappointed but there's always next time.

I heard a cracking line from John Lydon (of Sex Pistols fame) the other week on Talk Sport. He said he was a Gooners season ticket holder but didn't get to go that much .....

"What you've got to remember is there are 22 idiots out there, so the ball could go anywhere".

Just about sums it up for me.

I feel like I really don't like Derby at times, but I still find myself getting on the train from London every weekend.

I don't know why, really. It's just autopilot. I don't love the atmosphere, I really don't love the ground in anyway whatsoever, and at this moment in time I don't like the football we're playing. It's just what I do at the weekend. I love football and if I can't make it to Derby I'll go and watch West Ham, Fulham or Palace.

I think I love Derby, but I don't necessarily like them.

:)

I didn't say I enjoy it, but I love Derby, it's in my blood so to speak. I cannot imagine a saturday afternoon (or any day we're playing) that's not based around Derby. 0-0 at Ssausagehorpe was a fairly horrific match and not that good a result but matches like that is what football is all about for me.

Actually on a sidenote football is more than just the result as well, it's the whole experience, feeling part of a team, a community, we're all in this together sort of thing

Good post.

Same here, i've not enjoyed watching Derby for months.

But i love the club. And some of the people they represent. Derby people are some of the best i've ever come across.

It's a drug. Dont wanna go to games sometimes...... but i can't resist. Just get drawn in. Win, lose or draw..... Derby matter to me!!

Jesus. If the three you mention are an adequate substitute then I guess football's just a hobby for you.

Even in the worst of times from under Phil Brown with the amigoes, the tragic PL season and Jewell's stuggle to get the monkey off our backs, there was always some glint of hope that we would turn our luck around.

Now all hope seems to have vanished from the ground and the atmosphere has deteriorated.
