Yeah, but if I was handing out honours, I'd have gave one of them out a year earlier, just for the giggles!

Imagine being equally successful, but coming down to breakfast each morning and seeing your partner with a gong pinned to their chest.

Personally, I really don't get people being knighted for sport in this day professionalism. By far the worst example being Emma Raducanu. I don't have anything against her and she does seem like a very likeable young lady but, all she's done is spend her time training and playing the sport she loves. OK she's won a major trophy but, only one and she's earned a load of money along the way.

I think these honours should be reserved for those that have done good things for no or little personal reward. There is a good quote from Nigella Lawson as to why she refused an honour: "I'm not saving lives and I'm not doing anything other than something I absolutely love." and French and Saunders: "We didn't deserve a pat on the back. It felt a bit fake to stand alongside people who devoted their lives to truly worthy causes."
