Derbyshire CCC - Mickey Arthur Appointed

261-6 at close.

Du Plooy and Lamb stopped the immediate collapse with a decent partnership, then Lamb smacks the ball to the fielder on the leg side boundary with 5 overs left in the day 🤦‍♂️

Conners came out as nightwatchman….and then went back again.

Dal out there with du Plooy, Thomson, Watt and Brown to come. Need to get to 350, then it's up to Gloucestershire to try and post a target.

Frustrating, isn't it?

We thought about going to this game (son lives in Keynsham) but seeing as we didn't get back from Scarborough until Saturday night, decided to give it a miss.

Very, Lamb and Reece both fell into an obvious leg side trap. Very frustrating from Reece who looked untroubled.

Our ability to lose wickets in great clumps, apparently only matched by Gloucestershire 😂

Dal out for 20.

Since the opening stand of 132, no other partnership has made it to 50. Du Plooy and Lamb 49 is the next best. That really sums up the batting recently.

65 run partnership for Du Plooy and Thomson 😃 Scores level. Watt now in with the skipper who's looking for a century…

388-8 at tea

Du Plooy on 97

Watt on 17

2 overs to get 12 runs for a bonus point equally, not losing a wicket stops Gloucestershire getting the last bowling bonus point.

Every point might count in the battle to avoid the wooden spoon 👀

Lost a wicket and fell 2 runs short, of course.

Need a wicket soon or drifting towards a draw…

Looks like a draw now. Similar to the Leicestershire home game where we are running out of time in a weather-affected game. Things look less depressing with 2 wins on the board, but I think we are going to remain winless  🙁
