It feels like there's more to this story than just that. As I said before an internal disciplinary for a one off episode of being late would be extremely inappropriate. Which leaves the conclusions that as you say there is more to it than that or it is in effect a preemptive shot across the bows by the club to say start bucking your ideas up very quickly or start looking for an alternative employer.
